Thursday, May 28, 2015. The kids and I ran over to Baggenstos after school one day to pick some strawberries. It was HOT, so we didn't last very long. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Highlights from our long weekend in Long Beach were taking the kids on a 12 mile bike ride, the big girls getting drive their own cars during bumper cars, celebrating Jim's 60th birthday with Tsunami burger, and s'mores on the beach. Monday, April 27, 2015. There is a field of deer up near Lacey and Matt's house, no one knows why they are there but they are fun to see. We took the kids over to feed them some carrots, they loved it! Soph had a Friday off of school. so we headed out to Slappy Cakes with my mom and Lacey, Hudson, and Harper. Those fingers. They've been making an appearance like this lately. Monday, April 20, 2015. On Sophia's birthday, Lincoln and I brought treats to her class. The girls did a great job on their houses.

Sunday, January 8, 2012. Basic Gravy - Turkey. 1 cup dry white wine. 1 to 3 cups low sodium chicken broth. 4 Tbs unsalted butter. 1/3 cup all-purpose flour. Kosher salt and black pepper. Strain pan juices into fat separator and let stand for 5 minutes. Pour juices into a measuring cup, leaving the fat behind. Place pan over medium-high heat and deglaze the pan with the white wine. Pour into measuring cup with juices and add enough chicken broth for 4 cups of liquid. Recipe from Real Simple Magazine.
