Changing the Farmhouse

After two years of renovating the Farmhouse, we finally moved in on 11th August 2004. All of the rooms had been stripped out, so the only clean place was the kitchen, which we had changed from this:. During the autumn we worked on the children's bedrooms, which slowly became like this:. As winter drew in we put a final push on the gutted lounge:. Which culminated in Tina pasting up the last piece of wallpaper at 10.10pm on Christmas Eve. Just in time for Christmas Day:.

Waylands
We are Deby and Peter and Waylands. Is the name of our house. In one of the rooms is an old stone forge - that gave us the idea of naming our home after Wayland the Smith. We are in the pretty village of Golcar. Near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, England. Our house is an old weaver's cottage built about 200 years ago and this web site will tell you a little of the fascinating history of this area as well as a bit about us. Welcome to Waylands B&B. Charming family home in the Cotswolds, situated half way between Tetbury and Malmesbury. Choose from double, twin or single rooms. Both bathrooms have a bath and a separate shower. Enjoy breakfast in the dining room or relax in the kitchen by the aga if preferred. Full english breakfast available with freshly baked bread, homemade jams, stewed fruit from the garden and fresh eggs laid by our chickens.
