Monday, 29 June 2015. Garden Revamp 3.0. Hello, I'm here with a little garden revamp update. The weather has been a little off lately which has slowed us down a tad but we're making progress, even if it is slow and steady. If I were to attempt it on my own. Looking from the back of the garden towards the house. Foundations dug for the raised flower bed. Must Remain. Positive. ;). As always, let me know your thoughts or whether you have any tips you'd like to share. Thursday, 25 June 2015. On Lever Street...

Fitbit Adventures: 2 Weeks In - Nomad Seeks Home

Fitbit Adventures: 2 Weeks In. Rain rain, go away. How am I supposed to use my Fitbit if you won’t stop? So it’s been two full weeks of having a Fitbit Flex 2. And I am loving it! I got it for Christmas and it has made me so much more aware of my body. And how bloody lazy I am! Another great thing about this model is that it buzzes you every hour if you haven’t walked at least 250 steps. How cool is that? Slightly irritating when I’m trying to be lazy but to be honest, that’s it’s job! You can keep track...

Floating Shelves in the Master Bedroom. Our floating shelves are finally up! I had them three quarters done a few weeks ago but it turns out I hadn’t put them in very well. And the last shelf I put in a place where I needed to drill through wood to get it in. So thanks dad! Now they’re perfect. The only problem with this plan is that the drawers take up the entire floor when opened which meant no room for bedside tables. So that’s where we came up with the floating shelf plan. I’ve mentioned how mu...

A Quick Trip to Nottingham – Bills and Street Art. This weekend I took a quick trip to Nottingham to stay with my brother who bought a flat there last year. Considering I spent my teen years in Nottinghamshire and would frequent the city quite regularly, it’s been years since I spent more than a few hours there. As well as seeing my brothers new flat (makes my old London one look like a shoebox! We took a wander around the city. Being a big fan of cool street art, I was happy to see some as we walked.

My Week #41 – Passports, Snow & Indian Food. Wedding Fair at our venue *I smell snow. The snow came and went. As much as I like to look at it, I’m not a big fan of snow. It’s just too damn cold. Luckily we only had it for a day so fingers crossed that’s it. Bring on Spring! Yikes Luckily thanks to my spreadsheet we’re keeping track of everything. Along with some other Manchester restaurants and decided to visit it first. My oh my was the food delicious! Pancake day came and went. Today I’m going to...

My Inner Critic Is A Bitch. My inner critic is a bitch. She’s a humungous pain in the ass. She’s a cynical, nasty piece of work that’s stopping me from reaching my potential and making me feel terrible about myself. It’s not news to me that I have one. Everyone has an inner critic. Sometimes they’re in the back of your mind and sometimes they’re right there next to you, constantly whispering in your ear. Its just part of life. Since going freelance, and especially since launching Begin.Create. It’s funny...

Food is my drug PART 3. The final chapter in me and the bf’s Disney food and wine festival adventure. Check out PART 1. I’m proud to say that none of these pictures contained partially eaten food. We managed to remember every time this day to take a photo first. Though I may have sipped the Mai Tai a little first. No one’s perfect. Seven Tiki Mai Tai. Omg SO alcoholic it took me by surprise. Such a little cup! Steamed Mussels with Roasted Garlic Cream and Baguette. Green Tea Plum Wine Cooler. It is also ...

TV, Film and Books. Film Reviews December 2016 & January 2017. I can’t believe I haven’t written one of these since November! To tell you the truth, we haven’t been going to the cinema as much as we’d like so it felt a bit silly to just do a post with only two film reviews for the month. So i’ve saved up and here are 5 new reviews for you! This is one of those weird ones where I enjoy watching the film but as soon as it’s over I start poking holes in the plot. So many in this one! 3 and a half stars.

Blue pjs, 45 Emily and Fin. Be still my heart! Aren’t these the cutest? I like the shape of them too and especially since the shorts look like a decent length. One of my pet hates with pj shorts are that more often than not they are always way too shorts. I really don’t see the point in booty shorts you may as well just wear knickers to bed! I love the colour. My only annoyance is with the price. Harry Potter T-shirt, 19.99 Truffle Shuffle. And speaking of t-shirts how perfect is this Harry Potter one?
