Myles Away From Home. We all gave it a go; the Americans gave up pretty early given their lack of sleep from their previous night’s adventures, and Dave and I continued on to the intersection. It was slow going at that altitude! Once there, we were given the option of continuing uphill, which I would have liked to have done but I was already getting a headache from the exertion at that altitude so we decided to get in the truck. Myles Away From Home. It made the trip so much more enjoyable. The town of Inhambane itself was quite nice. It is a small, sleepy government town. There is only one road to get there and it is at the end of the road so there is no through traffic. If you are there, it’s because you wanted to go there. Myles Away From Home. Day Trip to Otavalo. We continued on to a little shop outside Otavalo with a lovely view of San Pablo lake. Back in the car, we headed out of Otavalo to the town of Cotacachi, which is known for its leather goods. We wandered around the streets of the town and bought a few things.
