Mandy's Musings: May 2006
http://mandycurley.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Classical theism and trinitarian thinking. One of the other things I've been pondering (mainly while in Doctrine of God classes or revising for the exam on Friday) is the link between statements of God's attributes and trinitarian thinking. Can we afford to have one without the other? Here are some of the things he said that I really liked:. He had the fullness of the Godhead; he has it still, for He is God’s Son. But He Who was the Son of God had become the Son of man also, fo...

Mandy's Musings: June 2006
http://mandycurley.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 26, 2006. Deep theological reflection is off the agenda at the moment as I enjoy being on holidays. I got my Oak Hill results yesterday and passed both my subjects, so now I can really relax and enjoy the next few weeks before I head home. I spent last week in Oxford and Cambridge. I refuse to enter into debate about which of the university towns is better I didn’t study at either so my care factor is zero! Posted by Mandy at Monday, June 26, 2006. Revive '06 - the photos. Today is my last d...

See above - but with Mum and Dad it was always 1 December, their wedding anniversary. 4 When do you take the tree down? Hard to take down something you don't put up! 5 Do you like eggnog? Never tried it, but the thought of drinking eggs turns my stomach. 6 Favourite gift received as a child? 7 Do you have a Nativity scene? 8 Hardest person to buy for?

Mandy's Musings: August 2006

Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us. Lecture 4 covered what Dr Bray described as 'perhaps one of the most difficult passages in the NT'. In the first instance he demonstrated that the context shows that 'debts' and 'trespasses' mean 'sins'. The passage refers not just to mainly ritual sins, concerning purity and keeping of the law, nor just small errors or faux par. Posted by Mandy at Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Worst church signs ever. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. A few people have expressed interest in reading what I came up with. Dani has offered to 'host' it on her site, so if you are game, click here. For the next week I really only want to hear 'good job' but after that if you'd like to discuss anything, fire away. Posted by Mandy at Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Today was my last ever undergraduate Moore College Lecture. And what a way to finish - with the delightful Peter O'Brien looking at Hebrews in NT 4. I can't believe it's over.
