The Reid Reader: September 2012
http://reidreader.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 6, 2012. The next day we headed to Winnipeg. We arrived earlier than expected and it was nice to check into a great hotel with a great price! We spent two nights in a Marriott owned hotel for only 80$. The pool was great (a pool and with a splash pad feel) and the free breakfast was amazing. We were able to spend time with an old friend and her daughter, as well as go to dinner at my sister-in-laws house and see my nephew. We now have a couch, love seat, two end tables, a coffee table...

Kristi-Bisti's Itsy-Bitsy Journal: June 2010
http://itsy-bitsyjournal.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
This blog is my personal journal. I will discuss a lot of weight issues and the associated problems. There might be a few glimmers of my family scattered through. Thanks for letting me get this stuff off my chest! Wednesday, June 23, 2010. The only problem was that I always felt under the gun. I like to be in my car by 6:15 and start work at 6:30. I hate being late. I was doing my study in the evening after the kids were in bed. But now, I am too tired to be able to focus that late. If I was smar...I had...

Kristi-Bisti's Itsy-Bitsy Journal: February 2011
http://itsy-bitsyjournal.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
This blog is my personal journal. I will discuss a lot of weight issues and the associated problems. There might be a few glimmers of my family scattered through. Thanks for letting me get this stuff off my chest! Saturday, February 12, 2011. ME WANT IT NOW! I am so anxious. We started shopping for a van or 2 this week. Our car stalls when the engine is cold or when Norm is driving. Apparently it isn't that fond of him. So we were planning to replace the poor old subaru. What if it stalls on the Deerfoot.

Kristi-Bisti's Itsy-Bitsy Journal: August 2010

This blog is my personal journal. I will discuss a lot of weight issues and the associated problems. There might be a few glimmers of my family scattered through. Thanks for letting me get this stuff off my chest! Tuesday, August 24, 2010. It's been a month less a day since I have posted. I have often sat here thinking I should post something, that I have stuff to say, but I get stuck in the starting. What title? What should I start with? Anyway, here I am. My upper thighs have a lot of skin too. So ...

The Reid Reader: March 2011
http://reidreader.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 11, 2011. I realized today that I haven't blogged lately. Report card season has come and, as of today, gone (Parent/Teacher interviews were today). I was pretty busy doing that and now I guess I have no excuse. So here I go. Our ski-doo has taken a beating with this cold. We have had to replace the starter (not cheap) and it sounds sickly. Hopefully it will work itself out. Maybe it is the cold that is doing it? Although I am homesick, I usually get sick of the South pretty quick. The ...

Cure For Boredom: Summer Poem
http://www.cureforboredomiscuriosity.com/2011/05/summer-poem.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Assuming poetry is not a lost art amongst my fellow boredom-crushers, here is one of my favourites. Besides, I'm in a poetic, writing kind of mood. A something in a summer’s Day. As slow her flambeaux burn away. A something in a summer’s noon —. A depth — an Azure — a perfume —. And still within a summer’s night. A something so transporting bright. I clap my hands to see —. Then veil my too inspecting face. Lets such a subtle — shimmering grace. Flutter too far for me —. Enjoying t...

Cure For Boredom: Thanksgiving Post
http://www.cureforboredomiscuriosity.com/2010/10/thanksgiving-post.html
Sunday, October 10, 2010. It's Thanksgiving in these parts, and you can tell by the snow outside (it IS mid-October in the Yukon, after all), the turkey cooking instructions across my counter top, and the longer hugs I give Rich saying, "thanks for loving me, babe" (followed by his confused squirming away going to eat a sandwich). When prompted to think of the things for which I am thankful, the effort is quite minimal. Every day before dozing off to sleep I try and think of all the things I'm thankf...
