The familiarity of my apartment was nice, my floor always smells of nice cooking smells from somewhere. The use of public transport again was disgruntling, made worse by the large very smelly dog, having to stand for part of the journey home and smelling cannabis all over the place again – why does everyone insist on using it so much here! I am have packed what seems like an insane amount of stuff, and yet I look around and my apartment looks as though I havent packed anything. So. Much. Stuff. Am I seeing everything with a rosy tint? There is a small part of me that is worried I am remembering a perfect Devon that doesnt exist. I am so excited for a trip home, I just want to sleep until it is time to leave.

What with my runners knee a few years ago, and now plantar fasciitis, I sometimes feel that I should just live a sedentary life within reach of the fridge/ biscuit barrel. It has been around 2 months since I last had a little trot around the water treatment plant, and around 4-5 months since I ran without wanting to cry with the pain. I heard the alarm from my rooster today so I ran out there to catch this annoying predator in the act. I watched as the guilty coyote jumped into the blackberries and dashed away.
