Too Many Thoughts: Recalibrating
http://blog.toomanythoughts.org/2015/02/recalibrating.html
Hi, this is my blog. Three times today I had to tear parking coupons, and three times I caught myself just as I was about to pop out the tab for January, in time to switch to the correct tab for February. At a work meeting, I also started to tell someone, "We'll send you the document in late January . er, I mean in the next couple of weeks.". By tonight, though, I got it right when I told ampulets. That my birthday is next month. He said, "February? And I got to retort, "No lah. Posted by Tym at 11:09 pm.

Hi, this is my blog. Yesterday, as I mentioned above, I had to work on a speech and a set of minutes when I got home. But the speech was easier than I anticipated, and writing minutes isn't that painful after you've done one set for the same bigwig and sorta know what to expect. I even got to watch. I did not go to university in order to become a sophisticated stenographer. I think I've ranted about every yucky thing that's transpired this week. Other nice things:. Sick to write them down. Oh, last note:...

Hi, this is my blog. Welcome to another account of a Lazy Day, in our current special season of Lazy Daze that is proving so popular at this time of the year. I know all this talk about lazing around must be generating a good bit of envy - - particularly in a certain ex-teacher now in London who's facing far larger piles of homework than I have ever seen in my life, as well as for my brother, who seems to be busier in his senior year of college than I ever was - - so I'll keep this part brief. Is still t...

Too Many Thoughts: October 2001
http://blog.toomanythoughts.org/2001_10_01_archive.html
Hi, this is my blog. Tonight's final IR class did nothing to mollify my cynicism about the NUS mode of education. Although the prof wasn't as horrifyingly prescriptive as his counterpart from the economics department, he opened the floor to questions in the second hour of class and that just opened the floodgates. We have a term that is distinctively Singaporean, both in origin and its applicability:. I'm bitter, I know. From anyone if it had. Posted by Tym at 8:27 pm. It's always been near-to-empty on M...

Too Many Thoughts: This thing is happening tonight
http://blog.toomanythoughts.org/2014/07/this-thing-is-happening-tonight.html
Hi, this is my blog. This thing is happening tonight. I'm speaking at the National Library tonight, together with the poet Grace Chia Krakovic. At the following event:. Gender Matters: A Conversation about Women in Writing. 7 - 8 pm, Thursday, 10 July 2014. Visitors' Briefing Room, National Library (Level 1). In this day and age, what do terms like "women's fiction" or "women's writing" mean? What is it like to be a writer who happens to be a woman, in a publishing industry dominated by men? A person who...

Too Many Thoughts: Things you learn from watching reruns
http://blog.toomanythoughts.org/2015/02/things-you-learn-from-watching-reruns.html
Hi, this is my blog. Things you learn from watching reruns. I've been idly, irregularly watching reruns of the first season of The. Tonight's find: the actor Mark Sheppard. Whom I first adored as Badger on Firefly. And then as the excellent offbeat lawyer Romo Lampkin on the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Which I've also been rewatching on my own). It turns out one of his earliest appearances on-screen was in The X-Files. Seeing him made me think of the "Hey! Section of the website Fametracker. Life in...
