pushing steps – kristintyler
https://kristintyler.wordpress.com/2016/04/22/pushing-steps
April 22, 2016. I’m proud of myself. There are few moments where I’ll stop long enough to look at where I’ve come from or what I’ve done, especially over the last two years. I learned I continuously take steps pushing to achieve something else, it’s addicting and if I’m not careful, it quickly becomes my worth. It’s a funny game I play with myself pitting Kristin against Kristin. Oddly enough, the goal of this game is to learn how not to play. It’s a beautiful demonstration. I often forget that God cares...

casual attitudes – kristintyler
https://kristintyler.wordpress.com/2016/02/08/casual-attitudes
February 8, 2016. February 16, 2016. We have a reoccurring comfort with sin in our own lives and I have realized this means we have a casual attitude towards Jesus. Recently, I’ve been challenged by the concept to chase after the “best” that God has for me. It simply is a challenge to take Jesus, as a person, seriously in my life. We’re not used to being loved in a complete and wholesome way. This type of love is fully satisfying and often we see ourselves as unworthy of it. Well, it would change things.

A lot of people are writing their setiments towards 2015, and although I have many myself, I am locked onto the new adventure this next year holds as I stand before the King. This last year has launched me, awoken me, revived me, surprised me, broken my heart, and oh boy has it challenged me. Jesus has captured my attention like never before and I have fallen deeply and (in it’s right sense) madly in love with our Lord, Jesus. Hello friend, you seem strangely familiar. And that is my immediate; the count...

Being wrong is great! – kristintyler
https://kristintyler.wordpress.com/2016/03/22/being-wrong-is-great
Being wrong is great! March 22, 2016. March 22, 2016. Being wrong is great! Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that so boldly. Being wrong can make us feel incredibly insecure and sometimes embarrassed. Being wrong is often interpreted as “coming up short”, and for myself, being wrong means not meeting the expectations that people have for me. However, I think it’s time that we stop looking at being wrong as a negative experience, but rather, something to celebrate. Grace is illogical, our minds don’t qui...

a choice – kristintyler
https://kristintyler.wordpress.com/2016/01/03/a-choice/comment-page-1
January 3, 2016. January 5, 2016. Love, it’s a choice. Temporary things keep being put in front of me and the Lord keeps saying “it’s a choice.”. The choice being to choose Jesus or what’s in front of me. If I were to choose what’s in front of me-the Lord says he’ll bless it, but I would be disobeying the reason he made me. It’s a choice and the Lord’s love won’t falter either way. I’ve learned how quickly I become unsatisfied with the comforts of the world and with settling to meet these comforts&...

God’s house, made a home. March 11, 2016. 8220;If we insist on keeping Hell (or even Earth) we shall not see Heaven: if we accept Heaven we shall not be able to retain even the smallest and most intimate souvenirs of Hell. Evil can be undone, but it cannot ‘develop’ into good”. -C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce. The abode of God. Abode being a big word. A word simply meaning. A noun, a place. God’s house made a home. In the hearts of His followers. Where Good is inseparable from God. Good comes from heaven.

Even when it doesn’t seem beautiful. September 25, 2015. October 13, 2015. 8220;I lean not on my own understand, my life is in the hands of the maker of Heaven/ I give it all to you God, trusting that you’ll make something beautiful out of me/ I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open”. Often, it’s here in the unthreading of who we are… the things that we thought we were stitched together in that we find God in the most intimate way. You are a beautiful way. Tagged a beautiful way.
