http://krazyforkindergarten.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
What's Going on Here. Friday, April 22, 2011. We're Going to the ZOO, ZOO, ZOO. If you are like me, I am ALWAYS trying to think of ways to introduce lessons in a fun, exciting way, while transitioning from one unit to another in a meaningful, connected way! Talk about a headache! I should own stock in the Bayer Aspirin company! So, if you are looking for a transition from Farm/Insects to Zoo here is my idea of a fun "hook" activity. We list the animals found in the eggs on a chart named, Reptiles. Here i...

Have me arrive in your classroom or your multi-purpose room via technology:. Ask and you shall receive. My plunge into SKYPE visiting was prompted by 'Miss Barbara' who became familiar with my music when she taught in Chicago. Her relocation to St. Croix on the Virgin Islands made a visit to her preschool children a tad bit challenging, though I promise, I am willing to make my way there in person. Together we came up with the concept of a virtual visit. Ta-Da! Later that same week I cyber-hopped out to ...

http://campslop.blogspot.com/2014/06/summer-of-science-week-1-magnets.html
Sunday, June 22, 2014. Summer of Science - Week 1 - Magnets. This week kicked off our first week of what I'm calling our Summer of Science. I am using Memorizing the Moment's Alphabet in Simple Science. And adapting it to fit the needs and ages of my kids. We began with Wild One's first First Start Reading Lesson. On the letter M. I really enjoy the simplicity of these lessons and the fact that everything is done for me. Wild One was really excited to start her very own workbook too! For Pinky, I created...

Camp Slop: What We Did This Week
http://campslop.blogspot.com/2011/05/what-we-did-this-week.html
Saturday, May 7, 2011. What We Did This Week. Pinky is 5 years, Chaos is 3 years, Wild One is 17 months, and Sprout is 1 month. We read two great books about numbers this week. The first, aimed more at the younger kids, was 1,2,3 to the Zoo by Eric Carle. It's a simple animal counting story, but, as with all Eric Carle books, is beautifully illustrated. You can find the number chart here at apples4theteacher. And the skip counting charts here at Homeschool Creations. We then experimented with different s...

http://campslop.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-we-did-this-week-week-6.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. What We Did This Week - Week 6. Pinky is 5 years, Chaos is 36 months, and Wild One is 15 months. We didn't have a specific theme this week, though art did play a large role in most of our activities. This week we started the online art class from Pineapple Paintbrush. If you're not joining in you really should be - it's a lot of fun! You can click the button in my sidebar to learn more. We started by reading Mouse Paint. Since this week's class is all about color. Just for fun w...
