First week | Wild and Precious
https://whatamandasaw.wordpress.com/2011/09/10/first-week
September 10, 2011 3 Comments. Instead, the annoying little troll of uncertainty has been what has plagued me this week, despite my total confidence in both you and your school. Is it a nurturing enough environment for you? Is it the right fit for your very inquisitive nature? Perhaps most importantly, will they see that they have a tiny being of unsurpassed kindness, joviality, beauty and brains in their midst and worship – er, I mean. Because that is what I need here, friends. Iron clad. All I can say ...

Summer days…drifting away. August 22, 2011. We are back from our unplanned summer break-from-blogging! We are doing great, a little bit more sun-kissed than we were back in June, and doing our best to enjoy this beautiful time of year without worrying about how fast it’s passing us by. And how are. Is there anything better than summer? Everyone in the house is also a little older and wiser, with. Birthdays celebrated. In fact, Dan and I got to celebrate his 32nd birthday (what a youngster! You are commen...

August 24, 2011 4 Comments. For Grace’s first birthday, we had a party for friends and family at a kids’ art studio. At the time, we lived in our condo and couldn’t figure out how to celebrate with our family in our small space, so we did something a little bigger. While I am happy to have done it, I am even happier that I didn’t need to do it again this time. Complete us. I love you, my sweet, amazing Noah. P a href=” http:/ vimeo.com/26916562″ Fierce. Out of Batteries: April 2015
http://roboboogiephone.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. Here are a few things that Lani says that I don't want to forget -. He calls his pants "pantses.". He says, "let I try" instead of "let me try.". When Lani gets impatient he says, "it's taking for long! Stuff" is "tuff". Like, "Hey, hey, I got some yellow tuff! When Roan and Lani fight Lani tells me, "he tarted it.". Except he said "outer pace." Then he asked to watch a video about "outer pace" on the computer. Sunday, April 5, 2015. Lani's First Bike Ride. He's had a lot of pract...

Sunday, January 18, 2015. Favorite Photos from California. Saturday, January 17, 2015. We were in California for the last 2 nights of Channukah, so we got to celebrate with my sister's children. Here are some highlights -. Roan chanting "shin, shin, shin, shin" whenever anyone else spun. Baby Kate *always* spun gimmel. She won a huge pile of gelt both nights. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Off-Piste: Where's that playground
http://livingoffpiste.blogspot.com/2012/08/wheres-that-playground.html
Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Friday, July 27, 2012. We spent the better portion of this past week in Lancaster, PA visiting Muz (my grandmother) and my aunts Barbara and Penney. The kids had a great time exploring Muz's house, enjoying the hotel, and seeing new scenery from their carseats, but it was a deviation from our normal schedule of spending many hours per day at playgrounds around house. I'm just trying to figure out how to get to the playground.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Off-Piste: October 2011

Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Sunday, October 30, 2011. The Onion, always honest in news reporting if not always accurate, had this headline recently: Study Finds Every Style Of Parenting Produces Disturbed, Miserable Adults. The last line is my favorite: "The study did find, however, that adults often achieve temporary happiness when they have children of their own to perpetuate the cycle of human misery.". Friday, October 28, 2011. Thursday, October 27, 2011. Thursday, October 13, 2011.
Off-Piste: December 2011

Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Two weeks with two kids. Two weeks ago at this exact moment I was going to bed and hoping that I would not still be pregnant at breakfast. I wasn't. And for the past two weeks we have been figuring out what life with two little boys looks like. We have been doing so well, in fact, that we may have gotten a little over-confident: today we went to IKEA, which everyone knows is the K2 of retail. Don't we all want to do that right now?

Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Eric and I attended our first Tampa sporting event on Saturday night: a Tampa Bay Rays game at their indoor. Stadium in St Petersburg. Who ever heard of an indoor baseball stadium? More country-ness: Jeff Foxworthy on video opened up the game with a bit on "You might be a Rays fan if." which reminded me that there are more people that you think who are able to turn one not very clever idea into a lifelong career as a performer. And p...
Off-Piste: A few recent good ones

Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Sunday, August 5, 2012. A few recent good ones. Here are a few of my favorite recent Emerson-isms. We are at the age where everything we say comes right back to us. For example, Emerson is now often heard saying: "Does that sound like fun to you? I don't know if I've been speaking in British lately but Emerson has started inserting "rather" in a very proper way. Would you like some yogurt Emerson? Mom Put your hand on my head and push down really hard. And puts ...

Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Sunday, May 27, 2012. I learned this morning that my dear friend Johnny Stef. I missed my chance to say it in person, but here is what I would have said:. You will be greatly missed. Monday, May 14, 2012. It only took us six years to find out. On Saturday night Eric and I went out on a date. And because we are parents in our early 30s living in Florida, obviously that means just one thing: we went mini-golfing. Perhaps we have a new family tradition. The woman s...
Off-Piste: February 2012
http://livingoffpiste.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo. Monday, February 13, 2012. Eric pointed out that my previous wild turkeys were actually Muscovy ducks. Oops. Then as I was driving last Thursday I came across a grazing flock of actual wild turkeys and they do look a lot more like turkeys than those ducks did. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. The strawberries above, minus a few that got eaten along the way, turned into this much jam (plus another jar we gave away before I took this picture):. Friday, February 3, 2012.

What Amanda Cooked
Trying to cook my way through my first cook book. Friday, 29 October 2010. Chicken with roasted hazelnuts, saffron and honey - with a bit of roasted butternut squash on the side. 65279;I am not sure what happened this week but despite cooking up a delicious meal I hardly have any photos! Have to make sure I sort that out next week or the boys will be thinking that there really is a mexican hiding under my sink that is doing the cooking. That is when I would have needed the mexican. . Good luck Sal - I a...

Amo muito o Rio de Janeiro, mas desde adolescente sempre senti essa necessidade de explorar e conhecer o mundo.
