Where Did I Get This Lemon? Persevering Through Chronic Illness. My name is Lauren and I’m 35 years old and chronically ill with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), a form of dysautonomia. I have been sick for 8 1/2 years and disabled for 8 years. I was an emergency veterinarian in my former life and have now been relegated to invalid. But I’m not going peacefully. This site is definitely under construction, so please bear with me since it will take me some time to work on it since I am often ill.
