Friday, March 19, 2010. This Should Be Agony. This should be agony. I should be a mass of aching muscle — broken, spent, unable to move. And, were I an older man, I surely would. But I'm a man of 30 — of 20 again. The rain on my chest is a baptism. I'm born again. Frank Miller, Dark Knight Returns, 1986. Tommorrow, I will run, bike, and swim at the Whole Foods Market Sprint Triathlon at the Rose Bowl. This is what will be going through my mind as I make my way to the finish line. I have just completed setting up my transition area in the dark, resolving to bring a flashlight next time. Its cold, and the ground is quite damp.
