Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: August 2013
http://dickersontxfamily.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Summer is coming to an end. Summer 2013 is winding down and school starts in less than two weeks. It's hard to believe that all three kids will be in school, but that's another post for another day. With summer ending, that marks the beginning of football/cheer season. This year we have two children participating in our local city league. In fact, both kids have been real troopers in this Texas heat of 100 temperatures. Surprisingly, neither one has complained about the heat...

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: An early birthday celebration
http://dickersontxfamily.blogspot.com/2011/11/early-birthday-celebration.html
Sunday, November 27, 2011. An early birthday celebration. With the hustle and bustle of the holidays and the fact that the girls’ Nutcracker performance is on December 3. This year, we decided to celebrate Robert’s and Brianna’s birthday early. Brianna loved the idea because that meant she got all of her presents two weeks before her actual birthday! After our bellies were stuffed, it was time to open presents. This picture is priceless because she has NO IDEA what it is! Of course, someone had to help.

Sunday, August 28, 2011. First day of school. We concluded our first week of school for the 2011-2012 school year and it was B-U-S-Y! We had something going on every night, which made the week fly by! I know things will settle down soon and we will all be used to our new schedule. Arrives, I’ll be relieved that we started school when we did, because that will be summer of 2012 has arrived! Four lunches packed for the day (one of them is mine). All dressed up for the and ready for the first day of school.

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: October 2011

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Lake Murray State Park. We take an annual camping trip every Fall and usually go with families from our Sunday School class. Traditionally, the trip has been the week of Thanksgiving and it is always way too cold for this city girl. So, this year we decided to go earlier in the year and attended with our great friends,. After breakfast, we went exploring and spent some time at the lake. The kids tried to skip rocks. Some need more practice than others…. The little girls loved...

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: Christmas parade
http://dickersontxfamily.blogspot.com/2011/11/christmas-parade.html
Saturday, November 26, 2011. The girls’ dance studio participates in their city’s Christmas parade. Since the studio does an annual Nutcracker production, it’s a chance for the studio to promote this event to the public. More importantly for me, though, it’s a chance for my girls to wear their cute Nutcracker costumes and be in a parade! After dropping the girls off at the studio, Robert, Braden, and I headed to find a spot to watch the parade. First, Braden needed to get his wagon decorated in style.

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: November 2010

Monday, November 1, 2010. The main event has finally arrived and it is time to go trick or treating. After successfully carving our pumpkins and eating a decent dinner, the kids were ready to go out and trick or treat! Halloween was on a Sunday this year and I have mixed feelings keeping my kids out so late when it's a school night, even for Halloween! Here are the kids posing for the camera. Go, Brianna, go! Posing like a ballerina butterfly. Notice Braden wearing his Yoda ears. First and foremost, I am...

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: March 2011

Friday, March 25, 2011. Happy Birthday, little man! It's hard to believe that it's already been three years since this amazing blessing came into my life! From the moment I became pregnant with this sweet boy, things have not been the same. My pregnancy with him was the most difficult and due to medical reasons I had to be induced. He was not ready to enter into this world, but finally did at 4:06. Due to. He is not a difficult child, but definitely keeps us on our toes! Monday, March 21, 2011. Brianna -...

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: February 2011
http://dickersontxfamily.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 14, 2011. Even though I work, I try to be at as many school functions as I can for the kids. I want to remember as much as possible when they're little because time goes by so fast and in a blink of an eye they'll be all grown up. I started the morning off by attending Brianna's class party. One of the dad's in the class made these awesome balloons for each kid to have. Of course, Brianna popped hers, so luckily they had extra! Her class played "pin the heart on the heart.". It was so be...

Enjoying LIFE one day at a time: June 2011
http://dickersontxfamily.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. I took the kids to see How to Train Your Dragon at the local movie theater this morning. They have summer specials where they play a new movie every week for $1, so it was well worth the $4 for us to beat the Texas heat and see a movie on the big screen. 1) He didn't wake up in the best mood (he's on summer schedule and the movie started at 9:30, so we had to book it to be on-time). So I was afraid if I made him get down that he would get very upset with me. However, on the way t...
