Stephen is one of the most experienced percussionists on the Scottish brass band scene. He has performed with many of the UK's top orchestras, wind ensembles and brass bands and is looking forward to a new chapter in his playing career with Whitburn. Percussion - Heather McMillan.

Alex started playing at the age of 13 with Newtongrange Band and went on to study the trombone at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. At that time, he was Principal Trombone with the European Community Youth Orchestra for three years. Alex has now settled down to a teaching career in Midlothian. Second Trombone - Garry Kennedy.

Graham started playing euphonium at the age of 11 with Penicuik Silver Band - his local town band - before joining Whitburn at the age of 16 on second euphonium. Sunday, 8 March 2015. Great loss to the Angling Club. It is with great sadness that I report The clubs Secretary and Treasurer Derek Llyons passed away this last week, he'd taken ill after having been on holiday earlier in the month. The clubs deepest condolences go out to his friends and most of all to his family. The funeral service will be held on 19th March at 1:30PM at Shields Crematorium, everyone is welcome, there will be a drink afterwards at the Grey Horse in Whitburn. Posted by Paul Hutchinson.
