Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Now, on to a recap of our wonderful Thanksgiving : ). Sam and I both worked on Thanksgiving, but had the rest of the weekend off. Brad and Steph were SO awesome to come down from Durham to spend the weekend with us! On Thursday night we hit up some Black Friday sales. Then we slept in a bit on Friday and cooked our big Thanksgiving feast. This was the first time I've ever attempted to cook a big meal, and it was definitely a new experience! Notice our bottle opener, haha!

Tuesday, July 7, 2015. I had a really wonderful birthday. It was situated between three days of work and three days of hiking with the youth at our church and it was a much needed break. Sam took me to Acropolis Greek Taverna and it was delicious! He knows me well, I absolutely love Greek food. There were Zorba dancers and napkin throwing and plate breaking and my gyro salad was incredible! I'm so grateful for the warm wishes I received on my birthday! Posted by Whitney Bernhisel. 1 Technology is just about the greatest thing in the world when your little brother lives approximately 7,374 miles away. 2 It is all fun and games until I have to poke someone with a needle. and then it's hilarious. Or being told by our professors to take the time to eat right, exercise, sleep, and "go have some fun" when we barely have the time to keep up on everything else they've assigned us to do- hilarious! However, while it's hilarious, it's also very rewarding. 3 Pinterest is NOT waste of time!

So, I finally have something to blog about! Late June and most of July is a busy busy time on the farm. Amidst the hay and wheat harvest there was also tons of corn acreage to be dammerdiked.
