About | Who Blogs Statistics?!?!

https://whoblogsstatistics.wordpress.com/about

What would YOU do for a degree…? Admittedly I didn’t have to do this, but hey ho, you can’t place hundreds of tabs with Appearance changing statements on them and not expect me to click on them and fiddle. Just not on. Anyway, fingers crossed this will get me where I want to be. I guess it’s not the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, so that’s ok. Still less than happy about this though😦. Is it ethical to use animals in experiments? | Who Blogs Statistics?!?!

https://whoblogsstatistics.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/is-it-ethical-to-use-animals-in-experiments

What would YOU do for a degree…? Is it ethical to use animals in experiments? Firstly, it is important to state that the use of animals in experimentation has helped discover, produce and implement vast amount of research which has utimately changed the way humans live, and saved peoples lives. This is therefore an argument that would fall under, does the ends justify the means? Human benefits are gained which could not be gained via alternative methods. It causes suffering to animals. First of all, rese...

What would YOU do for a degree…? Have blogs been a useful learning technique? So, the blogs replaced the weekly tests, I’m not a fan of blogging, I even resent the fact of being coerced into having another form of cyber-space commitment. However, what really does produce the most long lasting effects that will ultimately help me with my degree; blogs or tests? I’ve got a nice blogging history that has taught me diddely squat. No Don’t do it! March 26, 2012 at 2:21 pm. Rapturous applause*. Seriously, ...

Do you need statistics to understand your data? | psucfc

https://psucfc.wordpress.com/2011/10/07/do-you-need-statistics-to-understand-your-data

Just another WordPress.com site. Do you need statistics to understand your data? I think that you do need statistics to understand your raw data or results from your experiment, in statistics you learn what each score can be interpreted as and how for example a treatment effects mean scores of a group of participants. Without statistics you would not understand such expressions as ‘standard deviation’ and ‘sum of squares’. Newer Entry →. October 10, 2011 at 12:06 pm. October 12, 2011 at 5:06 pm. Since th...

Laquo; Week 8 comments for Alex :). Final Comments for Alex :). Looking for Mr. Effect: Should you add more people to the equation or should you throw a load out? On March 25, 2012. What to do when you can’t find that elusive significant effect…. I never failed once. It just happened to be a 2000-step process’. So what should you do if you don’t find Mr.Effect? It is perfectly reasonable, scientific and ethical to remove outliers but only with the sole intent of ridding the sample of bad, inconsistent da...

Just another WordPress.com site. Comments for 14th March. Comments for 18th April →. March 25, 2012. Looking more into the statistics that reporters use, there is actually quite a lot of it, ranging from the basics up to the more advanced stuff. Stats.org is a website aimed at both journalists and journalism in general, helping to educate individuals in correct statistical reporting, and also showing articles that are actually incorrect in their use of statistics. Therefore, although we may not think of ...

Is the Qualitative method less scientific than Quantitative? | psucfc

https://psucfc.wordpress.com/2011/11/25/is-the-qualitative-method-less-scientific-than-quantitative

Just another WordPress.com site. Is the Qualitative method less scientific than Quantitative? Whenever qualitative and quantitative methods are brought up in conversation the emphasis seems to be which is better, but however i feel that these two methods can sit side by side and work together. I think that convergent methodology could give a much more rounded view of certain theories, especially in social psychology where individual differences play a huge part in participant interactions. I think you&#8...

Just another WordPress.com site. Is it unethical to take data from the Internet? During last week’s seminar I was surprised to see that this topic evoked a rather passionate response, as I began to debate: NOOO it is not unethical, with Joe (J-Bizzle, sure you appreciate that). However, I did on that occasion look at one side more than the other so I’m going to take this opportunity to look in greater depth at ethics and the Inturrrrnet. Homework for my TA, week 3 semester 2. Homework for Julie wk 11. Why is the file drawer problem a problem? On: February 5, 2012. To begin with it would probably be better to describe what the file drawer problem is, before attempting to look at why it is a problem in psychology and other areas of research. Who Blogs About Yogurt?

Monday, May 3, 2010. Recipe: Probiotic Chocolate Yogurt Pudding. I have been craving mangos lately. Lucky for me the Chinese grocery store sells 3 mangos for a $1.00! While fruit is great for you, it is always better to combine it with protein so you feel fuller for longer. Strained Greek-styled yogurt is high in protein and low in carbs. So I thought, why not combine mango with strained yogurt! What a fun combination this turned out to be! The Greek-styled strained yogurt. 1 heaping tablespoon of cocoa.

The journey of a 23 year old on her rollercoaster ride through mummahood. Sunday, May 13, 2012. Alexander’s Birth Story. I woke up at the usual time of 7am thanks to our ever dependable alarm clock Malachi. For some reason I had always thought we would have an ANZAC day baby, but not wanting to get my hopes up I went about my morning as usual. I didn’t stay in the shower that long.
