A Quiet Spot in the Warm Sunshine. I put down the drink and picked up a new life. This weekend was beyond amazing and the perfect way to celebrate my one year “soberversary” (like that new word? My family came up to support me and see me get my coin. That was a whole other level of amazing for me. My parents were crying the whole time but this time they were crying tears of joy and not sadness. I finally gave them something to be proud of. I felt like the daughter they deserve to have.
