Selling Your Own Home is No Picnic. Obviously the market is slow and we don't exactly live in a booming area, especially since we are selling a family home and few families with children ever seem to move in out here! Whirlwind Trip to Vegas. Highlights from our Weekend Get-Away. 1) I had grand visions of leaving our house as early as 4:00 am on Saturday. 2) Reality set in after I didn't go to sleep til after 2:00 am that we would not be leaving at 4, but instead left at about 6:30 am. 3) It takes a really, really, long time just to drive from one end of the valley to the other - Gold Canyon to Surprise is a long hall! 5) The hotel we stayed at was pretty nice. 9) The Sunset Station hotel has nice comfy beds - I hit t...

Cafe Laguna - my new fav place to eat! So, if you haven't heard of this place or tried it yet, let me just say it was very delish! I know, well kind-of- sort- of know the family who is behind this place. Their kids go to the same school as mine and although they are in a different ward then us they are in our Stake so our paths seem to cross quite a bit! I heard at the end of school last year that they had plans to open up a restaurant, but until tonight we hadn't made it over yet! Counting Down the days.
