Prairie Oboe Companion: Get your composer straight.
http://jilloboe.blogspot.com/2011/07/get-your-composer-straight.html
Saturday, July 02, 2011. Get your composer straight. More from the world of "no book editor that knows anything about music":. From Chloe Neill's "Some Girls Bite". To be thankful for the things that reminded me that I was a small clog in a very big wheel: the lake on a moodily cloudy day; the gracious divinity of Elgar's "The Lark Ascending". Well, those Brits, theyre all the same. Right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. It's All About Me. Team Camwell (our family blog).

Prairie Oboe Companion: Back on the wagon
http://jilloboe.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-on-wagon.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. Back on the wagon. In the past week, I've practiced three, count 'em, three times. To me, this is a huge accomplishment. In college, I really wouldn't be bragging about three times.I may even have been reprimanded in my lesson! Rehearsals for Orchestra Iowa start up again on Monday, and tonight, after three sessions back on English horn, I finally left not feeling like my face was going to fall off. Now, can I make it through the Planets? Two more days to get my chops up.

Prairie Oboe Companion: How do you spell ppppllllllll

Tuesday, November 23, 2010. How do you spell ppppllllllll. Or a raspberry sound with your lips, the only sound possible after 6 hours of rehearsing? I do not recommend zero practicing for several months (um, when was my last orchestra set? Practice. (Actually, I felt really good about my prep for the last set.) Tilting at Windmills by Rachel Cervantes. The Life of Re: Re-inventing, Re-working, Re-thinking, Etc. October 4, 2013. Right now, I’m not sure what my focus will be. I will probably reflect on everyday life as experienced by a middle-aged woman with Parkinson’s disease. Yup, me, Michael J, Fox, Janet Reno, Linda Ronstadt, and many many other people shake things up in our own special way. Well, enough for now. We shall see what happens. Back in Bellingham at it again. | Cooper Wright Reeds' Blog

Cooper Wright Reeds' Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Back in Bellingham at it again. July 13, 2011. Well, I’m on vacation here in Washington where I’m taking care of some business. The first line of business was dropping off/catering some reeds for my friend Anne Krabill, and trying out her new Hiniker Acrylic oboe, affectionately titled “The Ice Princess”. DANG was it loud! Next on the tour was Peter Hurd’s house in Bellingham where I proceeded to try 25 oboes and English Horns. Sorry man, a Lo...
