But now I am spiritual; for that which I am commanded to do, I do; and that which I am commanded not to allow, I allow not: for what I know is not right, I would not do; for that which is sin, I hate. JST Romans 7:15. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Electric pressure cooker and new carpeting. Our week has been full. I found out I will be teaching freshmen seminary again, though I won't know who or how many are in my class until Sunday night's Seminary Kick-Off (7 pm Tolas St building). Besides taking 2 classes at the community college, he has been spending some time on the computer at emusictheory.com taking some music theory lessons. So, what is Alex up to these days? Besides the normal (reading a lot- Brandon Sanderson books these days- and pl...

We give our life to Christ not for a smooth ride, but for a successful end. Pastor Doug Batchelor. Sunday, August 23, 2015. Andrew is employed, nature is fascinating, and other stuff. Biggest news first ('cause I'm not patient and want to get to the best thing first):. Andrew has been hired to teach at American Preparatory Academy in Draper, Utah! The first day of class is tomorrow (the 24th). Good luck Andrew! Wish they lived closer! I think I will have an excellent year. I only knew 3 of my 12 semi...

Saturday we went and saw "The Forgotten Carols." It's a great way to start off the Christmas season. Eric gave the youth fireside tonight. He spoke about his mission. The past 2 weeks have been a lot like the previous weeks. Seminary. Work. Very little house work. Repeat. We give our life to Christ not for a smooth ride, but for a successful end. Pastor Doug Batchelor. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Another week of summer gone. Glen went to Young Women's camp this past week. Sounds like he had a good time. Not much happened here. I made another wind chime and then hung up all the ones I have outside. And I did some more de-cluttering. And reading. And I took a walk each morning and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and calm that early mornings are blessed with. Monday, June 22, 2015.

We give our life to Christ not for a smooth ride, but for a successful end. Pastor Doug Batchelor. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I'm in Oregon again. Denise was able to stay for just a few days. Things were pretty laid back. We played games, watched tv, and ate lots of yummy snacks (like peach salsa, avocados and tortilla chips and also triple chocolate ice cream cake for mom's birthday cake). At the airport when we dropped her off, we were laughing so much it was hard to take a good selfie. Summer is the best.
