A journal of our day to day; homesteading and homeschooling in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Sunday, August 24, 2014. The goats and tough decisions. Links to this post. Family Blerry Picking Day. Anyhoo, it was still lovely. Hot Dogs and marshmallows. One of those summer family days we won't ever forget. Links to this post. The Brassicas did well. I have some of the largest cabbages I've ever had and some of the smallest. One bed must have gotten way more manure dumped on it. July Kimchi in the making.

Avery's valentine sun catchers. Noah is taking an ongoing wood working class for 8-10 year olds. Several of his friends are in it and they are having a really good time. by the creekside: farm

http://creeksideparkers.blogspot.com/2013/05/farm.html

Any fool can know. The point is to understand. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. As my youthful years are slowly falling behind, I am reminded what I enjoyed about my youth and the memories now, that remind me of those days. I find myself looking for them again, I never thought I would. I have so many memories of my summers spent in Nebraska, on the farm. While I LOVED those summers, I never saw myself as a 'farm girl', no way, no how! My sister is the animal lover, not me. Jump ahead 25 years. I want a farm too!

http://creeksideparkers.blogspot.com/2013/05/thank-you-ikea.html

Any fool can know. The point is to understand. Thursday, May 16, 2013. For upgrading me into adulthood. Just kidding, but seriously, new bedroom furniture sure gives you that feeling. A friend and fellow blogger. Posted that after 8 years of marriage, they now have MATCHING nightstands! Now that we've made those changes, I'm ready to re-paint and finish our bathroom! It's a 'if you give a mouse a cookie' sort of thing. Out with the old. In with the new. Kade, he helped me put all this together.

Earthen Vessel: Well hi!

http://adannells.blogspot.com/2014/06/well-hi.html

Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Well, it's officially been a long time since I wrote a post. Actually I think it was officially a long time about 2 months ago. But here I am again. :). As you can see I finished my garden fence quite a while ago now. It's very rustic but is very sturdy and fulfills its purpose very well.keeping the deer and rabbits out! The past couple of weeks have been filled with lots of celebrations! Daisy turned 18 AND graduated from high school! And Daniel turned FIVE! Follow Me on Pinterest.

Earthen Vessel: Thanksgiving weekend...

http://adannells.blogspot.com/2013/12/thanksgiving-weekend.html

Saturday, December 07, 2013. Daniel and I drove out there on Saturday morning (Rue had to work.) and arrived nice and early just when everyone was waking up and getting their coffee. Bonita and George made a lovely breakfast and I had a bowl of hot turkey, barley and vegetable soup. Just the right kind of breakfast when sitting out in the cold around a campfire. The creek was full of dead chum salmon who had just spawned. The smell was something else! But we did see several live chum making their final t...

Earthen Vessel: July 2013

http://adannells.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 29, 2013. Mt Rainier and Reflection Lake from Stevens Canyon Road. This past Wednesday was our 9 year anniversary. To celebrate Rue planned a little one night camping trip to Mt. Rainier just the two of us. We camped at Ohanapecosh on the south east side of the mountain. The evening we arrived we set up our little camp and then went on the little nature trails by the visitor center. Small suspension bridge to the Grove of the Patriarchs. So many shades of green. Our lunch spot by the river.

http://farmandadream.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

A Farm and a Dream. This is a blog about a guy who has wanted to be in the country for a long time. I'd much rather smell manure than exhaust fumes. I want to produce as much of my own food as possible. I have a lot to learn and will probably be pretty entertaining in my journey. Tuesday, October 11, 2011. For anyone who hasn't found us at the new address, here's the latest update. Enjoy. Http:/ tilton1823.blogspot.com/2011/10/glorious-fall.html. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
