Monday, March 9, 2015. Barley graciously helped me pack. After an 8 hour drive through the California and Arizona desert, I finally arrived at our fancy resort, Poco Diablo. Other Quilts – including the Latest and Greatest. Detail from “Mitchell’s Arabian Through the Fog”. I enjoy handwork, so most of my quilts are made using as little machine sewing as possible. Typically I machine-piece the background, then hand-applique features and add detail with embroidery. All quilts are hand-quilted. Some fabric paint is also used.
