August 1, 2015. The Northwest Carriage Museum sponsored horse-drawn carriage rides during the 2015 Willapa Harbor Festival in Raymond, Washington. Working the harness today was a pair of nordic fjords. If YouTube is still displaying a gray screen below, click it anyway – it plays! The Carriage Museum is home to many restored horse-drawn vehicles from the elegant to the mundane. A couple examples were on display outside their new “barn” for the Willapa Harbor Festival. Concert on the lawn.

October 29, 2010. The first storm of the season hit with a bang – literally, as rare thunderstorms produced a show that preceded bursts of heavy rain and hail. On the coast, the sea was churned up enough to make close surf-watching unsafe, but we managed to get some shots in the can before our perch was inundated!

The Carriage Museum tour included lunch and an informative talk by the docents. Early automobiles featured a lot of wood work as seen on this dashboard. Some models featured the then hi-tech airplane as a hood ornament.

Franklin classic cars visit Carriage Museum. June 21, 2016. The Franklin Car Club visited the Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond today for a tour and banquet. The group is on their annual Westrek summer tour putting these classic cars through their paces. “These cars were built for transportation”, says Ed English of San Luis Obispo, California, and that’s just what they do with them. The Carriage Museum tour included lunch and an informative talk by the docents. Lion hood ornament on the Franklin.
