The Ghost of Coast: October 2006
http://ghostofcoast.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
The Ghost of Coast. Commentaries and observations on late night radio program Coast to Coast AM and it's sister show, Coast to Coast Live. Thursday, October 12, 2006. In a recent post in a Coast to Coast fan forum in a thread discussing how the inimitable late night radio host Art Bell's politics seemed to have changed, The Great One Himself paid a visit to set the record straight on some of the fans' observations and speculations. Here's what he had to say:. Or perhaps toased by your cell phone? 3 Why d...

The Ghost of Coast: March 2007
http://ghostofcoast.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
The Ghost of Coast. Commentaries and observations on late night radio program Coast to Coast AM and it's sister show, Coast to Coast Live. Saturday, March 24, 2007. Again With the Dog! At this point I'm taking time to laugh out loud, because of any of you ever heard Noory's original interview with Irwin, it was blatently obvious that Noory had never heard of him, and was clutching desperately at straws to think of something - anything. Episode shortly before his interview - only. Some of Noory's fans may...

Done and Dusty: NASCAR and neglect
http://doneanddusty.blogspot.com/2007/04/nascar-and-neglect.html
Random musings on life, love, death, music and NASCAR. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. The view from my back garden. It's school holidays down here in my part of the world and that means the kids are home. I've gotten used to watching NASCAR on my own over the past few years, so having people in the house while I settle down for my weekly fix can be a bit disconcerting. The little ones are pretty good at entertaining themselves, but they can be as demanding as any others. By the end of NASCAR. I've NEVER seen M...

Done and Dusty: April 2007
http://doneanddusty.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Random musings on life, love, death, music and NASCAR. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. ANZAC Day - remembering the fallen. Today, April 25, is ANZAC Day. In Australia and New Zealand - our Memorial Day. A day to remember those who served in the military. As more and more of our WWI and WWII veterans pass on this has become a poignant day. Both my grandparents have died over the past few years. My grandfather was in the Merchant Navy and my grandmother was a WAAF. During the Battle of Britain. And has become t...

Done and Dusty: May 2007
http://doneanddusty.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Random musings on life, love, death, music and NASCAR. Thursday, May 3, 2007. Shut up and drive. Is Tony Stewart turning into a whining pussy? His comments last week seemed a bit out of the ordinary, but getting into David Gilliland so hard after Talladega was a bit weak. Frustration seems to be getting to Smoke big time. Harden up brother. Also cool to see Sterling Marlin running so well. Hendrick is STRONG this year - my prediction is a 24 championship. Links to this post. Labels: Dale Earnhardt Snr.

Done and Dusty: Jason Isbell moves on
http://doneanddusty.blogspot.com/2007/04/jason-isbell-moves-on.html
Random musings on life, love, death, music and NASCAR. Monday, April 9, 2007. Jason Isbell moves on. It Would Be A Small World - art by alastair. It was with a tinge of sadness that I read on drivebytruckers. Has left the band. And that sadness is purely selfish. I loved what he brought to Drive By Truckers in his voice, lyrics and musicianship. Having said that I'm also really pleased for both him and DBT. A devastating loss is when Cliff Burton or Randy Rhoads. Or Ronnie Van Zant. What about his wife?

Done and Dusty: Pink in a boy's world
http://doneanddusty.blogspot.com/2007/04/pink-in-boys-world.html
Random musings on life, love, death, music and NASCAR. Saturday, April 7, 2007. Pink in a boy's world. Centre - art by alastair tattersall. It was a funny present because it would have come from a shipment of 'assorted' ends of line crap and been sold at The Warehouse, which is similar to Wal Mart or Target. NASCAR is not huge in New Zealand by any means, don't let anyone tell you different. It's growing, but it's a tiny following. No disrespect to Dick meant at all, I remember him still racing when I fi...
