We've met with all of my doctors over the last two weeks, and are continuing to explore our options. Shana and I had a conference call with Dr. Butrynski last week and he explained, in detail, the decision to not have surgery. Thursday, May 7, 2009. Major Change of Plans. Will's Road To Recovery. Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Here is what you see:. My heart beating before they do anything. Them hooking me up to the cardiac bypass machine that does the work of your heart and lungs while they repair the heart (I believe I was on this machine for about 35 minutes). Dr Reardon cutting out the tumor and some of the tissue around it (the tumor is the white thing). Dr Reardon sewing the cardiac patch in place. My heart beating after he's done. Check it out here. Will's Road To Recovery. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Got To See Him. We were all taken into ICU about fifteen minutes ago. Initially, we were all expecting the worst, but he looked great! At this time, we are only allowed to visit him one at a time. Our spirits are lifted, and we are so grateful for the way they take care of us, and the way they are taking care of Will. We are in good hands at Methodist Hospital. Simply, thank you! Glad to hear he has a great nurse, he deserves NOTHING but the BEST!

Will's Road To Recovery. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. The Time Has Come. Now for the big news that almost ensures my blood pressure will be high for the next 3-4 weeks. I will be getting two more doses of chemotherapy (5/1 and 5/8) and then it's time for the surgery I have been anxiously awaiting (and dreading) since October 13 th. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Nick and Stevie always like to see grandpa! Nicholas on the other hand, can pretty much fall asleep anywhere and in any position! I always find it funny the positions you will find him in. He is so bendable! I went to wake him up from a nap one day and this is how I found him. He looks so uncomfortable, but he is sound alseep! Monday, October 11, 2010. I found this great poncho at garage sale. I couldn't believe the lady was getting rid of it! I guess the lady's aunt made it. Oh well! I have it now! A visit with Grandpa.
