It’s chalky in my mouth, a bit like licking dry grass. It starts to get warm. I’m fe...

Observations, Reservations, Conversations. Casual commentary about political, cultural and economic issues with a particular interest on the city of Winnipeg by John Dobbin. Monday, March 23, 2015. What Next for Winnipeg's Old Target In Southdale? Southdale Target Winnipeg Closed. There is a Pizza Hut in the corner of the lot and a McDonald's on the other corner. A Shell station and other retail borders the Target. It is unlikely the entire site will merit a re-design so the Target location itsel...In th...

Thursday, April 28, 2011. A photo by jim hounslow. Myla entertained for us after Easter Dinner by building a tall teetering tower. Her clowning resulted in several near collisions which culminated in lots of ooohs and aaahs. And to our delights, it came down in an inevitable crash. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). https://flightriskblog.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/got-any-ideas
Sara Shyiak: Flight Risk. February 25, 2014. The dreaded story idea. Got any? Journalists need ideas, ideas, ideas every. single. day. If you have one, does it hold up? Flesh it out. Is it newsworthy? Who does it affect? Who can you talk to? The dreaded story idea. Got any? I do, now. This past year has been a struggle with story ideas. How do you come up with them? How do you know to cover something before it’s already in the news? How do you know it’s a story? Who do you interview? How do you find them?
