Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Psalms 127:5. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Wait, You're talking to me? My bets are saying none of us- zero, zilch, nada. Not only do we not. Have a perfect life, marriage, or kids, but how many of us have the perfect walk with God? I didn't need to go there. It breaks my heart to see so many people that get turned away from God or want nothing to do with a church family because of a 'holier than thou' attitude that so many Christians. Oh, do I ever! It is...

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Psalms 127:5. Monday, March 3, 2014. Little Rock Half Marathon Recap 2014. Saturday was a beautiful, sunny, warm day. The forecast was calling for cooler weather on Sunday, but I was hoping they were wrong. So I planned my race clothes as well as I thought I could. I would wear my lightweight waterproof Saucony jacket, running cap, short sleeve running shirt, wool socks (Feetures, my favorite! They were doing an outstanding job! Tough headwinds. My ...

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Psalms 127:5. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Pace- and run it. A 5:15 time, and that would give me a huge PR. At mile 14 I realize I'm about 10 minutes ahead of my paceband time. I was still feeling great, pacing along with Mr. Marathon Maniac. The wind was off and on throughout the entire race, alot of headwind and side wind after the turn around. That was tough to fight. Various parts of my body decided they did not like the change of pace, and started thr...

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Psalms 127:5. Sunday, July 21, 2013. Here is a recap of the Full Moon 25K (15.5 miles) I did last night in Perryville. Some friends wanted to do an 'ultra' race, so they prepared for the 50K (31 miles). I was more than happy to do the shorter race. I started out slow. I was hoping to get a time of 3 hours or close to it. I am not super fast, I try to enjoy my runs and not get hurt! There were uphill climbs on the way back too! I was being very conservat...

Just swingin' a cat here...: Non-swinging cats.

Just swingin' a cat here. My random musings. Consult doctor before reading. Monday, May 3, 2010. Alan was kind enough to look after my cats while I was on a recent trip out of town. Little did I know that he was just looking for photography subjects who work cheap! Anyway, long story short, here are. A bunch of pictures he took of AC/TC :). AC is the one with more white, and the creepy eyes. TC is the other one. (Larger, blacker, friendlier, but apparently harder to get to hold still for the camera).

And some of the things she thinks, feels, does, wishes for, dreams of, hopes and believes but most of all, things she is thankful for. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Welcome to the confessional! Here's how it works. Every week I post a confession and invite and encourage others to post a confession of their own. My confession this week is that I have decided on a career change. I enrolled in a course online. This is not to brag since I know that pretty much everyone has an aptitude for something. Mine ju...

And some of the things she thinks, feels, does, wishes for, dreams of, hopes and believes but most of all, things she is thankful for. Sunday, July 24, 2011. 8221; Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. 8221;- Mark Twain. I believe this to be the truth. My life's motto now is, "No More Fear". I decided years ago that I was done with allowing fear to govern me, my life and that of my children's. He said he did. That was the moment that I t...

Just swingin' a cat here. My random musings. Consult doctor before reading. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Since my earlier haiku was taken down (by myself) for being factually inaccurate, I figured it is only fair to replace it with. more haiku*. Is not tolerated here. Just cold, hard logic. Here's one from a shirt one of my co-workers wears sometimes:. But sometimes they don't make sense. Remember kids, the plural of 'haiku' is 'moose' . or wait, is that 'sheep'? Just swingin' a cat here...: broken
http://swinginacat.blogspot.com/2012/01/broken.html
Just swingin' a cat here. My random musings. Consult doctor before reading. Thursday, January 5, 2012. Hey, it hasn't even been two years since my last post, and the silence is broken. It is, as of this writing, not the only thing that is broken. As usual it will fall to Randall Munroe of "xkcd" to properly illustrate the point [how does he keep illustrating my life in advance? Temporal bugs, I assume. I mean, this comic is YEARS old]. You laugh to keep from crying, you do math to keep from crying. Hmm, ...
