Savage Food: June 2014
http://savagefood.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Food matters as much as you do. Thursday, June 26, 2014. Day 104 - Mexican Fried Rice. I have a soft spot for orphans. I can’t help myself. The idea that someone could be left behind makes me sad. So after making taco’s last week, and I ended up with a bit of my home made taco seasoning left over, I couldn’t just leave it orphaned. I decided I was going to use the mix and make a fried rice, Mexican style. So off I went to the grocery store and grabbed what items I found interesting, and set to work.

Savage Food: November 2010

Food matters as much as you do. Monday, November 29, 2010. Day 72: Shepherd’s Pie. This may sound strange, but until I made this, I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten Shepherd’s Pie. I grew up believing that Asian food was superior to Western food, so things like Shepherd’s Pie was something I’d avoid. In the last five or six years, I’ve come to rethink my opinions and delved into Western food. One day I had some potatoes left over, and so I decided to try making up a batch, and this was the result. By popular d...

Food matters as much as you do. Thursday, July 19, 2012. Day 99: Ginger and Mary Ann. The weekend is fast approaching, and with it gives the portent of a continuing heat wave. Fight the battle to stay cool with Ginger and Mary Ann. Fans of Gilligan's Island have debated "Ginger or Mary Ann" for decades. We all know Mary Ann wins, hands down. Having said that, I thought, why not both? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Beef Rice Noodle in Peanut Sauce. Chickpea and Corn Falafel. Spicy Beef Noodle in Peanut Sauce.

Food matters as much as you do. Friday, May 18, 2012. Day 98: Lemon Cumin Flatbread. I usually keep bread-making simple and stick to 4 or 5 ingredients, but I was feeling creative, and thought, “I could buy a bag of chips at the grocery store, and wonder what the words in the ingredients list mean, or I can make something tastier, and with ingredients I know about.”. Wednesday, May 02, 2012. Day 97: Blueberry Ice Cream. Just keep telling yourself that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chickpea and Corn Falafel.

Food matters as much as you do. Friday, December 24, 2010. 8216;Tis the eve of Christmas, and with it brings a special tradition. My brood hails from Montreal and through the years have carried with it the Tourtiere. This French meat pie is the delicious centerpiece of our Christmas Eve dinner. However after years of buying store bought Tourtiere, I had that familiar thought which you know is coming, “Why don’t I make my own Tourtiere this year? Welcome to a piece of my family tradition. In any case, I&#...

My Life as a Pot. Monday, April 28, 2008. 73 Days to 1001 Pots. LM @ 1001 Pots, July 2007 with a Goddard Teapot. "I love shino glazes! A month long pottery exhibition in Val-David, QC. Okay, now I'm starting to sweat! I tried smoking when I was 10 and then again at 12, but gave it up when my best friend insulted me about the.
