Last Saturday, I went to hear the Vietnamese-born Buddhist monk, teacher, author, and peace and social justice activist who helped originate the "Engaged Buddhism" movement. Associated with compassion, and I realized how much I need more compassion in my life- for my friends and coworkers whom I reject because they get pregnant so easily, for Ivan, whom I pounce on for little things even though he does all the big things so right and so loyally, and for myself.

Sunday, January 3, 2010. Everyone I know, love and trust has given me the same advice on how to get pregnant: stop thinking about it. So, my New Year's resolution is to do just that. I've put down the thermometer and now I'm putting down the blog. As much as I enjoy writing every day and exploring issues surrounding fertility and women's sexuality, this blog feeds my hyper-focus on fertility.
