Worship Focus: January 2010
http://worshipfocus.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. Honestly, I don't care WHO gets "credit" but it made me realize the weekness in people who need to puff themselves up or claim FAME to what is being done. Links to this post. Worship Focus: The Last Song Ruined it for Me
http://worshipfocus.blogspot.com/2009/08/last-song-ruined-it-for-me.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. The Last Song Ruined it for Me. A friend of mine, whom I had lead worship with a while back, called me to chat. During our conversation he told me of an encounter he had with a woman that approached him after the service we had lead together. She told him, with arms crossed, "The last song ruined it for ME.". I'm sorry, that last song wasn't actually for YOU, ma'am. Wow! September 9, 2009 at 6:49 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Worship Focus: Interactive Worship Stations
http://worshipfocus.blogspot.com/2009/06/interactive-worship-stations.html
Saturday, June 27, 2009. I've been thinking for a while now about how to more comfortably allow people to participate in worship. As a worship leader, sometimes you look out into the congregation and see people who maybe aren't connecting in a vocal or physical way. That doesn't, however, mean they aren't worshipful. As I've spent a great deal of time speaking to people on how they worship, etc. I've found that some say:. 1) I am uncomfortable singing. Some ideas I have had are:. SIN and PRAISE BOARDS.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Introducing New Music to Congregations. If you are like me, you spend a great deal of time praying, selecting appropriate and inviting worship music, narrowing down the selections, and finally introducing them to those whom you lead in worship. It IS a distraction for your congregation when you "spring" a song on them that few have heard. While a new song in the rotation can breath "new life". Into the service, it can also alienate people and cause a bit of anxiousness. Http:/ w...
