Story 3: Untitled | Words in a Jar
https://wordsinajar.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/story-3-untitled
Words in a Jar. Creating my own little worlds, three words at a time. About Words in a Jar. Randomly Inspired: A short piece about Tea →. Here’s the third story that I was able to write last year, and my second favorite of the bunch (so far). I have to admit though, when I first saw this particular set of words, I cringed. Well, I cringed. I went and googled ‘Borg’ online. With a set of words like this, I bet that everyone would probably expect some space fantasy of some sort. Well HA! The definitions fo...

Words in a Jar. Creating my own little worlds, three words at a time. About Words in a Jar. About Words in a Jar. Hello, and welcome. It’s always nice to have a visitor! The task itself is simple: draw three random words from a jar, and write a story either based on those words or with those words included in the text. Thinking up the world and characters of the story is the hard part. And making it a good story is even harder (what. Maybe not. Either way, thanks for coming along for the ride.

Words in a Jar. Creating my own little worlds, three words at a time. About Words in a Jar. Creativity: Caused intentionally by a combination of friends, scraps of paper, and random words in a jar. Welcome back, wanderer. Time flows by much quicker than we think. It’s been 4 years since I wrote (and shared) my last story. A lot can happen in 4 years, and a lot. Happened – several jobs have come and gone, new friends have been made, and new experiences have been savored. Sorry for the long absence! I do, ...

Words in a Jar. Creating my own little worlds, three words at a time. About Words in a Jar. Story 3: Untitled →. It’s fun to write to write about pirates! 🙂 Here are the three words:. Skull: A bone framework enclosing the brain of a vertebrate; the skeleton of a person‘s or animal’s head. Smack: A sharp slap or blow, typically one given with the palm of the hand. Belligerent: Hostile and aggressive. A small warning – there is some swearing in this story. I. With the mere excuse that ‘it moved̵...

Words in a Jar. Creating my own little worlds, three words at a time. About Words in a Jar. Randomly Inspired: A short piece about Tea. Welcome back, wanderer. →. Sorry for the long absence! Here is my fourth story. It’s a short piece, and I wrote it in February of 2010 in the ‘aftermath’ of the financial crisis, so that somewhat explains the main theme. Here are my three words:. The female ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right of birth. Her smile was radiant.

about a girl – ramble on, rose
https://r33nie.wordpress.com/about-2
Ramble on, rose. Intentionally uncool since 1985. I’m Renée: twenty-something transplanted Asian-American woman, full-time office gopher, part-time pretend-IT (it’s honestly because I’m the only one in the office who has any idea what to do after you’ve turned the computer off and then on again), and all-the-time musician, composer, arranger, gamer, and voracious devourer of books. I am unabashedly Catholic, unapologetically geeky, and undoubtedly a general pain in the arse. Like seriously, I’m not...

Ramble on, rose. Intentionally uncool since 1985. Day: August 9, 2015. I’ll keep them still. August 9, 2015. March 27, 2016. I remember listening to Elliott Smith’s “Between the Bars” on obsessive and constant repeat in my second or third year of university. That Elliott Smith possessed a rare musical gift is but one reason; that his struggle with depression and substance abuse, and the circumstances of his death at 34, only highlighted the rarity of the gift he possessed is another. New year's eve.

Ramble on, rose. Intentionally uncool since 1985. Here we go around again. August 6, 2015. August 6, 2015. For someone who once made a very specific resolution to write more, I am failing spectacularly. And realized that most of the encounter consisted of me forgetting that my vocabulary consisted of more than five words until it was almost too late. I tried to review Brooke Fraser’s Psychosocial. Sunday, 27 November 2011. I have heard a lot lately regarding the Google Book Library Project. And thought this might be the place to take a look into what all the fuss is about. It seems that Google is taking a step into the world of library digitization by attempting to create a worldwide database and enhanced card catalogue collection of the world’s books! Sounds impressive….and it is. It also intends to offer its content free of charge. It’s an incredible undertaking but a neat idea!
