Nitida wine farm durbanville. Situated on the multiple award winning Nitida wine farm, the requirements were diverse : create a building that is sympathetic and contextually appropriate, relevant yet contemporary. It not only had to integrate with its natural surroundings, but also reflect the essence of the Nitida brand. The architecture is a play between traditional Cape forms and contrasting contemporary elements, grouped together and carefully articulated to create and define space.

This modest urban intervention into the historically rich Church Street in Durbanville addresses a series of issues which relate to the broader urban context as well as to its more immediate context. In addition to this, through the sensible proportioning and design of office spaces and the incorporation of quality external spaces, simple issues of cross ventilation and ample natural light are dealt with and serve to enhance the building’s environmental performance and overall character.
