October 31, 2011.Written in Shinyang, China. 学校の広場。こう見えても、少林寺の武術学校にしてはかなり小さい。基本はこの広場で練習を行う‥‥. 8229;‥が、雨天の場合はこうして「練功房」で練習する。この二人と同じ部屋に泊まった。学校に滞在する外国人はこの二人だけ（韓国人にイギリス人）。今ではとても大切な仲間です！この少年が僕と同時期に入門した（滞在予定期間は僕と違って数年だが）。とても仲良くなった。こちらが散打コーチ。主にこの人に教えてもらった。とても格好いい人だが残念ながら写真写りが悪い。当武術学校の師範。素晴らしい人間性を持った真の武術家だった。中国の武術界ではちょっとした有名人らしい。たった２週間だったが、とても尊敬するようになった。ちなみに後ろにあるのは、当学校に残された少林寺の古い技書だ。前蹴上げの練習。極真と同様、毎日必ず行われる。この写真、よく取れてると思うのは自分だけだろうか？ちなみにダッシュの本数は半端ない！ On our way to lunch in the...

June, 18 2011. 第一の空手選手生涯最後の試合が迫って来ている。そのために、今日は８時過ぎに家を出る。朝練に参加するためだ。朝練を指導するのはＫ先輩という相当キャリアーの長い先輩だ。あれくらいの空手歴のある先輩は大抵もうとっくに練習なんかしなくなっていて、ただ偉そうに座って「よしよし」という人がほとんどだ。だけど、４０代後半のＫ先輩は今でも現役で、若者に負けないくらいハードな練習をし続けている。実際に戦った感触も相当の手ごたえがあり、全盛期の若者と互角以上に渡り合える。尊敬できるＫ先輩に出会えてよかったなと思う。高学年の子はよく頑張っていて、偉そうに教えるよりは、彼ら自身の発想でクリエーティブにどんどん身体を動かすように指導。半年前までやる気のないだらだら団だった土曜日の少年高学年クラスは、いつのまにか一生懸命に練習するようになった。だが、その分遊ぶときも一生懸命で、指導するこっちが疲れてしまう。 June 6, 2011.
