snowy's tatting: January 2013
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. Last week I was 53, and I received a lovely card and some HDT from Fox. The thread was dyed by Tat-ilicious. And was called "Young Hearts". It's a pretty mixture of greens, pale blue, brown and magenta, to which my scanner does not do justice. My first tat was this Celtic picot motif from Jennifer Williams. I had seen Fox do it and wanted to try the new technique myself. It is more fiddly than exactly difficult. Then I decided that Young Hearts should be made into Heart's Desire.

Living beautifully with science-based medicine (SBM) - What's going on with CV?

Whats going on with CV? Living beautifully with science-based medicine (SBM). Mar 18th, 2015 at 12:42 PM. At Living beautifully with science-based medicine (SBM). Another woman, Belle Gibson, is being exposed as making a claim that she had an incurable brain tumor, and cured it herself, through diet. She parlayed this story and her app The Whole Pantry, into a jet-setting lifestyle of $2000 handbags and charity fund-raising fraud. To claim otherwise is ridiculous. Doctors make peanuts. And that big o...

Some kind of help is the kind of help we all can do without - Minutiae
http://aulaitcru.livejournal.com/302652.html
Some kind of help is the kind of help we all can do without. Mar 27th, 2011 at 9:54 PM. While getting ready to go out on Saturday night (see previous entry for pictures) I was checking out how I looked in the mirror. Turning this way and that, somewhat irritated that the mirror I had just cleaned the day before was already smudged and covered with fingerprints. O heard me complaining, ran up to the mirror, smashed his face against it and the following conversation ensued:. Me: What are you doing?

snowy's tatting: Somethings are finished!
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2014/01/somethings-are-finished.html
Saturday, January 11, 2014. My blackwork project is done, well I still need to finish stuffing and add the buttons, but I am happy with it. I might even make another one. This lace butterfly was quick and easy, except I will never try to finish with a cluny again! Another time I will start the two antennae, then join at the head and then work the wings. The cream and black one was worked by a friend at lace class. She also had difficulty finishing with a cluny! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

snowy's tatting: December 2012
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. The other day I received a little package in the post from the generous and inspiring Fox. She sent me some of the Sulky rayon thread that you can see in the photo, plus all those buttons, and four metal findings or "doodads". There was also an antique bone shuttle! You can see it peeping out of my old shuttle case. :). Meantime on the hanky edging I have run out of thread! And I know she will keep me some till I can get in. Monday, December 10, 2012. snowy's tatting: Lace class, 3 February
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2014/02/lace-class-3-february.html
Tuesday, February 04, 2014. Lace class, 3 February. This tiny patch represents three hours in lace class! Of course much was done, then undone, then redone. I am learning to throw out pairs from the half stitch section, as well as the 12 legged spider! I know it looks easy, but I really struggled.I must try to keep going because I leave to stay with my mother on Saturday, and if I don't practise I will forget how to do it. :(. Plus as luck would have it I need to work today and tomorrow.

snowy's tatting: July 2013
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 04, 2013. Valdani, for Fox. These two pictures are to show Fox how pretty Valdani can look when it is used for bobbin lace. This was an easy pattern, and in all took me around five hours. I now need to get it off the pillow, and do it again, as I made quite a few mistakes, but I hate. It was always intended as a bobbin thread, it is only two ply, (I think.) and although it can be tatted, as you can see if you wander back through my blog (yawn, no don't! I think it works better on a pillow.

snowy's tatting: December 2013
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. This week I have mostly been. Doing Blackwork. This is the kit I received the other day, with the first half finished. I changed some of the filling patterns, and I tend towards more open fillings, so I have not filled as much as in the pattern, but as it is all still on the frame I can add more if it looks too empty at the end. On the computer via an HDMI cable. Friday, December 13, 2013. This is a sample of Torchon ground showing four different stitches. New level of stupid.

snowy's tatting: Delia finished at last
http://flocondeneige-frivolite.blogspot.com/2014/03/delia-finished-at-last.html
Friday, March 14, 2014. Delia finished at last. I have at last finished Delia, but I haven't been making any kind of lace/crafty stuff. I have hopped onto the bandwagon which is Renulek's Spring doily, and I hope to share a photo tomorrow of the rather disappointing progress so far. Your doily is very beautiful! Amazing work. Congratulations on finishing it. Very pretty doily. Our elder daughter is called Delia! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life, death and what not to wear in france.
