Chasing the great blue heron | Write Out of the Blue
https://writeoutoftheblue.wordpress.com/2012/01/02/chasing-the-great-blue-heron
Write Out of the Blue. See Diane's new blog @ http:/ writingexpressions.wordpress.com. Chasing the great blue heron. So I tiptoed as quietly as I could to the other side of the street and before I could turn the damn camera on, the heron flew far enough into the marsh to foil the capability of my long range lens. So, with my long range lens that is a bit heavy (I should have had my tripod), I shot a few (less than perfect) photos. This is what I discovered. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a...

One Scarlet Leaf | Saltwater Influenced
https://saltwaterinfluenced.wordpress.com/2015/08/15/one-scarlet-leaf
Lauren’s First Popovers →. August 15, 2015. One scarlet leaf resting lightly. On a bed of seasons past. Vivid sign that the leafy green. And gentle warmth of summer. Will inevitably give way to. The riotous colors of fall. The languid pace of a summer. Walk in the woods. Will quicken in response. To the snap of chill in the air. This lonely leaf will soon. Be joined by the tumble and swirl. Of countless others as nature’s. The green of summer will give way. To the technicolor dream coat of fall,. Vegetab...

Falmouth Fish Paella →. June 15, 2014. Treated to a shimmering sunset. As we left the harbor. Cruise for a cause. Supporting the Dog Park. And music and the beauty. Of the water at night. We cruised through calm waters. And were greeted by. Twinkling lights on the. Shore of the Vineyard. People travel from far flung. Spots to vacation in. This magical place that. We simply call home. Rice Paper Wraps Revisited. Spiralizing Onions Without Tears →. August 10, 2015. I heard a tip the other day about keeping cut hydrangeas alive longer. It really works! The vase pictured here has been sitting on our dining room table for over a week, and the blossoms remain beautiful. The tip was to lay the stem on its side and hit the last few inches with a heavy object. I used a meat tenderizer. This allows lots of water to travel up the stem into the blossoms. 10 Films of the Year. My own inclusions here of two Danish films and their makers is purely coincidental. In the penultimate part (sob, sob) of the 100 Films Made By Women we also have Oscar-winners and yet another short film, but in all 10, more examples of women doing great work in the film industry. Blackfish (2013) - Gabriela Cowperthwaite. That is not even the half of it. The enlightening, heart-stirring documentary is named Blackfish. The past two days have been filled with kids picking up their schedules, school shirts, agendas, etc. I had four wonderful kids helping me, and I was thrown back into what it felt like to be in 8th grade. They told me all about their classes, teachers, “the populars,” and their friends. GREAT kids, oh my goodness. But hearing “Miss Casey” and “ma’am” all day was sort of weird. o.o. Aug 14, 2015. Write Out of the Blue
Write Out of the Blue. Just my thoughts on life. View my complete profile. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. A deep sigh of relief. I am facing summer with a healthier perspective on some personal issues and hoping to carry forward the lessons learned. Our marriage is, by no means, perfect, but we are so thankful for the special relationship we have, the peace ...

Write Out of the Ordinary. Writings on the Aidukaitis family and living the life of a writer. Sunday, March 28, 2010. College Tours, Take II. Ot to choose my college. My father wanted me to attend BYU. He convinced everyone he knew to steer me toward BYU. The only school we visited was a trade school in San Francisco I had heard of, so he could show me how poorly it compared to BYU. So I ended up- where else? Okay," I said, just a little curious. So, what should I look for when I buy my first house?
