The Brave: March 2008
http://stillbrave.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 March 2008. It’s been a while, hasn't it? I have been so completely busy and the internet connection is not real great here, so I have been avoiding the computer a bit. I am probably the most impatient person on the planet, so an internet service that drops out and is inexplicably slow frustrates me to the point of insanity. Links to this post. Monday, 10 March 2008. Anyone need a couple of suitcases? They are so bulky. Seriously, if you live in Adelaide and require a couple of large sui...

The world from my windows and the harmonies in my head. Saturday, April 04, 2009. If you're reading this at work, congratulate yourself! Surreptitious employees who use Internet for personal reasons at work will be thrilled with new research suggesting that workers are actually more productive when allowed to surf the Web freely during office hours. According to Dr. Brent Coker of the University of Melbourne. Second, work-life borders blur quickly online - in many cases, in the employers' favor. I am...

A poetic exercise in leisure. August 16, 2010. His fear lives in a corner. The best fear on the block! He orders its food on the Internet. It eats raw bull. It never sits. It opens and closes its little gray hands. It opens and closes its mouth. Little girl, I know things that would blow your mind. Now that his apartment burns his fear hides under the bull-stained floorboards. He is outside and doesn’t hide. His eyes are as bright as a giant’s eyes. Laquo; Found Wanting. On August 17, 2010. And So Forth: Fountain of Sorrow
http://and-so-forth.blogspot.com/2008/01/fountain-of-sorrow.html
The world from my windows and the harmonies in my head. Sunday, January 27, 2008. In high school and college, no singer spoke to me more than Jackson Browne. He was one of those artists that kind of dropped out of my listening habits with the years, mainly because I had all his music on (legal) cassettes. A while back, my daughter introduced me to Deezer. And I set up a Jackson Browne playlist. It's almost too painful for me to listen to, yet I keep coming back to it. Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light.

July 7, 2009. The peacock’s shriek always claims His vengeance. She called it,. Every letter light-pierced and partial. Stabbing back his every word. Unmarried, childless, homely, slow,. Stabbing back his every word. She still knew to nod at the passing litany of cities as she stared at their wronged faces. The big-rig long haulers bragged her past as the hunters laughed if she’d pray for the quails. They went laughing off to kill, and the sun seemed to tug to do exactly that. All stories stop: once more...
A Corny Heart: May 2008
http://gurlwoman.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Why do we live abroad? Do we leave our beautiful, hot, tropical land only to experience how we fare at trudging through harsh winters? Or is it just the moolah that we make as the crème-de-la crème? That is a million dollar question. 8220;I got it NO! 8221; was her annoyed reply. Now this guy is the penultimate example of being uncouth. Forget the fact that he suffers from brohmidrosis, he has another blemish, he cannot accept the fact that women have breasts! Is it a miracle?
Kathi Harris' Book Corner
http://larktales.blogspot.com/2010/10/ode-to-autumn-leaves-by-kathi-harris.html
Kathi Harris' Book Corner. Thursday, October 7, 2010. AN ODE TO AUTUMN LEAVES. Blazing, brilliant, autumn leaves. How I love your warm bright, colors. Shades of yellow, orange, red. Speckled green, brown, almost black. Fall like rain from branches lighter. Leave their clothes of leaves below. Trees get ready for winter sleep. Now trees, whisper, tell us. Did you miss them? As they fell to ground below. Did you wish them bon voyage? As they fell from off your branches? Did you kiss them each one slowly?

Practicing Intentional Gratitude: May 2007
http://hedwyg.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Feeling grateful for the gifts encountered in my life, one day at a time. Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Arthur Ward. Thursday, May 31, 2007. At lunchtime yesterday, I escaped to On the Border at the Reston Town Center to meet a fellow blogger. It was great to meet him for the first time, after corresponding for several months and learning that I'd driven past his parish. Four different times on my way from our office to the ODU. I experience...
