Thursday, April 12, 2007. The most striking place I visited on tour was New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward. I knew there remained work to be done, but I was not prepared for block after block of gutted, lifeless houses, like this one:. Monday, November 07, 2011. In the Charlottesville City Council elections, I'm leaning Galvin, Huja, and Collins. Galvin's good on bikes. Huja's a veteran of city politics with a solid record. Sunday, January 21, 2007. Missing the Point, Part I. This past Friday, I was tired. It was my first week of school. I had interviewed for two jobs. I had gone to the gym twice to walk for 20 minutes. These are the excuses that I offer up for my complete lack of "getting it" Friday night. In other words, I kept missing the point. Let's take a look. I saw Pan's Labyrinth. I'm pretty hard on myself intellectually, but I repeat the series of excuses listed above and forget about it. Where are their coats?
