Memories in Wuhan will never fade off. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. The batch went to present their work to Mr Chia in the morning. Next thing to worry about is the performance to be performed in the evening. Venue will be the building right next to our usual study block. Time will be 7pm. For the rest of the time we were busy practicing our performances. As soon as we settle down, the show begins. Surprising, the China students have also prepared several performance for us! The cultural performance is def...

Memories in Wuhan will never fade off. Thursday, October 14, 2010. Along the road side of 建二 we visited less than 12 hours ago, we were on our way to 发源地. Today, we woke up in the early morning just to accompany friends going to the salon. Reason being is that we, the serviced customers, were like singing praises about the salon! So they were like very interested in the hair makeover, and were eager to go to the place. Finally it is all done! I never really post up the photos as we were stopped by the wa...

http://www.wuhan-needs-hanhui.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-23.html

Memories in Wuhan will never fade off. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Morning was lesson about PM. Life was quite as usual, in fact, after a long stay in Wuhan, I was no longer excited. As a matter of fact, I start to speak the local dialect unknowing. This means I will be having problems tuning back to the Singlish I once spoke. We also saw mini vegetation of the local senior citizens. But yeah, I gave Zhen Zhao the camera and was not been able to take down the pictures. Labels: The 长江 Jog.

http://www.wuhan-needs-hanhui.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-26.html

Memories in Wuhan will never fade off. Saturday, October 9, 2010. Today’s highlight will be the Wu Dan Shan. It is located at the northwest of. Time to meet and get up the tour bus is 6am! The ride is about 5 hours. On the way going to the *Shan*, we saw several very interesting notices. The picture below show one of them. In order to highlight the level of damage can be done because of speeding; they showcase the burnt car due to speeding car accident! I think this is really creative and influential!

Hello Wuhan: Sep 30, 2010

http://hellowuhanjia.blogspot.com/2010_09_30_archive.html

Thursday, September 30, 2010. Day 17 - Streetlight, Street Snacks. We decided to try something new today! Got bored of the usual dishes at Happy Lemon Restaurant or Happy Kitchen (they must really want their diners to be happy), so we decided to have some China-made KFC, also known as 派乐汉堡 (Pala Burgers), found along 旅大街. With the usual dining group, Eudora and Michelle. Guys before and after food. Note the considerably happy faces when with food. They serve their set meals with warm milk tea, weird.

Life in Wuhan: Day 23: A Haircut Day

http://haw-is-wuhan.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-23-haircut-day.html

Friday, October 8, 2010. Day 23: A Haircut Day. Today, finally found the time to go and get a haircut. Liangxun and I went to 建设商场, the shopping center that housed the supermarket and on the students' recommendations, went to a salon called 发源地. Apparently this is a very well-known franchise that has outlets nationwide, so we felt quite at ease because we are assured that this place has some standard at the very least. Not much difference right? BUT IT WAS CLOSED! We also couldn't this small bakery that ...

The weather was pretty cooling in the morning, but the floor was rather wet due to rain last night. It’s pretty amazingly our large our stomach can expand during such cold weather. Friday, October 22, 2010. Day 34: This is home, Truly. So I successfully managed to stay awake all night long, after packing and repacking my luggage, and then going up the Jiali and Diyanh's room only to see Eliza and Sheila sleeping, then cooking concentrated Milo and Curry-flavoured Instant Noodles. And here is what happened for the rest of the day. Cleaned up the room and took some last pictures as keepsakes. My bed for the past 5 weeks, all cleaned up, almost. The door to my room. The last day to shop, so I went out together with Houngsheng, Yuchuan, Haoteng, Zhenzhao, Eliza, Sheila, Joanna, Diyanah, Jiali and 3 local students, YangTao, XiaoGang, and ZhengNa. Our first stop was to a food street, Pu Bu Xiang, for lunch first, before crossing the YangTze river by boat to shop. Inside the foodstreet, which we came at night before, was a vastly different scene from our previous visit! Was] ALSO IN WUHAN. Day 18:...

Life in Wuhan: Day 24: Barbecue Today

http://haw-is-wuhan.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-24-barbecue-today.html

Monday, October 11, 2010. Day 24: Barbecue Today. Today our fantastic hosts, the local students organized a barbecue for us! Kudos to them for choosing a considerably nearby and scenic location to hold the barbecue. Of course, this being China, nearby means an hours walk, but I'm not complaining. At first glance, their barbecue is really different, but when it comes to the real thing, their is no real difference. Have a look:. Overall, the food today was excellent, in fact, I think my barbecues in Singap...

Unlike Singapore, the day rises earlier and sets earlier too. At 6.30am, the sun was already bright and up. Our day will be filled with travelling and sightseeing. It was time for lunch when we arrived at our destination. HUNGRY! I made another interesting discovery today: THE TOILET. IT HAS NO DOORS. Rise and...
