For my final project, i decided to begin a project of mass appropriation and manipulation. I have chosen four writers to use as my inspiration: bpNichol, thich nhat hahn, david littlejohns and warren bowen. Hopefully there will be more in the future.

My final project from last year. David, a close friend of mine from calgary, is a talented artist. I thought this would be an excellent opportunity for collaboration; and, for this following piece, i used an excerpt from one of his essays. the left image details the process i took the essay through which included a combination of erasure, babel fish translations and a travesty generator. The second image is entitled self-centred. Done in the style of derek beaulieu's flatland:. This is the final poem.

It's amazing how sunshine can make me happy. I'm sure there have been some scientific studies or whatever type of studies that give a straight forward reason for this. but it still amazes me. Summer is the most wonderful season.
