S is for Scorpio: May 2012
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. This past weekend we headed out to the coast for some R&R. well, some of us did crazy bike rides. but for the rest of us it was all about R&R. The weather was perfect - warm enough to wear a t-shirt, even in Armstrong Woods! We all had a nice time and tried to stop eating long enough each day to get out and "do something". One of those somethings was a trip out to the beach for sandcastle making and dog running.

S is for Scorpio: July 2012
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Saturday, July 14, 2012. This week M "learned to trot". By that I mean that she learned to hold on while Lola trotted. It's a lesson I hope sticks! Thursday, July 5, 2012. It's pretty much the best thing M can think of doing, well. maybe if we could find a way to add in a trampoline it might be better, but still. This Friday M got to ride Lola, just about the sweetest horse you could think of. But Big. and skeptical. She had been a good horse, hadn't she?

S is for Scorpio: Land of Ice and Fire? More like land of Ice, Wind, Hot Water and oh, more Ice.

S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Sunday, March 16, 2014. Land of Ice and Fire? More like land of Ice, Wind, Hot Water and oh, more Ice. The Church at Skahlholt. After the church, we had a little time to kill and took a detour to Jon's family friend's mushroom factory. Next we were off to Gulfoss, a famous waterfall. Jon had the forethought to bring us some crampons for our shoes which came in very, very handy! Dad and Jon on the path down. Oh, the Fontana hot springs. It's a moist, swee...

S is for Scorpio: February 2012
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Start the New Year Off Right.right? The last leg of our trip landed us inland, near the Arenal Volcano in the town of La Fortuna. The most we ever saw of the volcano. As for activities, we all had some ideas of what we wanted to do. On the first day we all planned to visit a nearby waterfall. It looks so. accessible from this angle, doesn't it? Like there might be a nice shady path leading down to it or something pleasant.

S is for Scorpio: October 2012

S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Friday, October 19, 2012. Didn't think it was possible. Could anything be more cute than this? Adding a hand knitted sweater (by one Nancy Smith - master knitter no less.) adds cuteness to any situation. It even came with a hat. I can't wait for the weather to get cooler so we can use it more! Ripples says thanks Nancy! Tuesday, October 16, 2012. You are getting very sleepy. Someone" has learned to find her thumb. They are best friends now.

S is for Scorpio: December 2011
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. There is internet at the Beach? I'd like to finish this year up right with actually getting to post things a little closer to when they actually happened. I remind myself about this all the time, because I am still working on a post about last, last summer. the summer of 2010. Yep. 2010. And it's almost 2012. But I digress. onto actual current events. That was the point right? If there is anything scarier than carnival rides...

S is for Scorpio: So cold we went to Iceland to get warm
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2014/01/so-cold-we-went-to-iceland-to-get-warm.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Saturday, January 11, 2014. So cold we went to Iceland to get warm. Having had it with the Cold (yes, I'm capitalizing it now), we got on our plane to Iceland. The flight landed almost an hour early and we were lucky that our driver was waiting for us. It was pitch black and cold, but not New York Cold. So we were moving up in the world. Who are we to turn down a suite at no extra charge? Now here is where the language barrier comes into play. The only h...

S is for Scorpio: November 2011
http://sisforscorpio.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Monday, November 7, 2011. Halloween 2011 - part 1. This year we thought we would try something new. and old, but in a new way. We traveled out to our local pumpkin patch the Friday, and again on the Sunday before Halloween. On Friday evening it was too late to really enjoy much except the sunset, but we made the most of it. M made it all the way to the top of the tall hay pyramid all by herself! This time it was all about capturing the moment for the age...

S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Ice Cream and Turkeys and Sloths, Oh My! The town of St. Elena is quite a bit bigger than we expected and the house we rented was very nice with a great view. Front Porch -designed so you can enjoy the hammock sheltered from the wind. View from Front Porch - All the way out to the Nicoya Peninsula (about 55 miles). The path to the hiking trail. this is about as far as we got on that hiking trail. THOSE KIND OF ROOSTERS. After me...
