Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Progress and the Price →. 8220;So What You Gonna Do? March 25, 2012. This post is inspired by my personal experiences in basketball alongside my dad, and then constantly reinforced by a number of experiences and coaches. When Matt started taking advantage of his size advantage and I couldn’t stop him, I complained to my dad, saying he was too big, I couldn’t stop him, etc. And my dad just looked at me and said “So what you gonna do? Road Trip through Life.

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. End of Spring Break: Canberra and Platypus! After Cairns, the majority of us flew back to Canberra where we would finish out our break. After a day of rest or so, my mate Andy took me out to Tidbinbilla Nature Sanctuary where we had heard that they had platypus sightings pretty regularly. It was his goal to get me a playtpus sighting before I left here, so we decided to head out and go searching with our cameras. Days 11 and 12: Last Two Days of Cairns.

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Power of Belief versus Cannot →. Take the Step, Not the Button. February 18, 2011. This post is based off of my experience living in the dormitories here at Cal. My first year I lived in Foothill, my 2nd year (current) I am living in Unit 2. When we want to improve in any activity, we have to coax our bodies to take that first step (both literal and figurative). It takes mental presence, awareness, physical coaxing, drive, perseverance, and determina...

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Courage to Lose to Win. My (Archery) Progression & Process →. To Be A Winner. August 22, 2013. This post is primarily based on this year’s CAMP experiences, but is also inspired by my Dad, PGC, and Josh Waitzkin’s. But what does it mean to conquer one’s self? How does one even begin to conquer one’s self, or know when they are on the right path? The end result would be great, but it is not the most important or determining factor in my success, nor shoul...

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Road Trip through Life →. July 21, 2014. This post is based on my recent experience here at Stanford, but also a lot of sports experience, PGC, and related to many other sources. Any journey in the pursuit of passion is similar to these old time wayfarers because there is no map of conditions and perfect route to arrive. But just like these explorers had the stars to guide them, so do we have our own set of guiding stars in the form of our goals. Henry o...

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Road Trip through Life. July 23, 2015. After driving a couple days north through California and Oregon into Portland, I sat looking at a map and asked my Dad “hey Pops, instead of going out to Vancouver which looks out of the way, what if we circled up into Glacier first then did Banff and Jasper after, then circled back down? I will by no means be successful with this each time and will still get upset, stressed out, resistant, etc. But as I work th...

Trying to change the world. About Me and My Ideas. Newer posts →. Courage to Lose to Win. April 28, 2013. This post is inspired by PGC, Josh Waitzkin’s Art of Learning. And most prominently my own personal experience through both basketball and more recently (and focused on) archery. The biggest potential obstacle in my moving forward was the success I had achieved in the past. Not to sound above it all, but I do believe that many people are unwilling to release the success of the past in the hope of...

April 7, 2012. 8220;Progress is built, in effect, upon the foundations of necessary failure. That is the essential paradox of expert performance”–. The quote is from the book.
