Trip Hazard 3 Tremolo. The Trip Hazard 3 Tremolo uses dual Silonex opto-couplers for smooth volume undulation. Photocells on both the input and shunt sections of a voltage divider create gain and loss alternatively. Thus unity gain is preserved as you adjust the depth. Rate can be adjusted between extreme hare and tortoise speeds. The Trip Hazard 3 can be powered by 9v battery or with a standard center pin-negative 9v DC power supply.

Trip Hazard 2 Disruption. The Trip Hazard 2 Disruption is the guitar pedal version of XQP's 545 Optical Disrupter. It's a feed-forward optical compressor that creates asymmetrical distortion by sloping the top half of the waveform. There is no clipping resulting from disruption. The effect is most noticeable on low frequencies, which makes it really shine on bass guitar. However, any guitar or keyboard can be used. Trip Hazard pedals are made in the USA by XQP. Nice guys. Trip Hazard 1 Fuzz. As a start to this pedal business, we figured a nice fuzz box would do. After all, fuzz is one of the most common trip hazards. Just ask anyone with a cat. The Trip Hazard 1 features an NTE109 germanium diode paired with a 1N914 silicon diode in the opposing direction. Clipping occurs on the top and the bottom of the waveform but with a slight asymmetry, due to the different diodes. So the sound is rich and full.
