conte/pencil figure study | shingoyamazaki
https://shingoyamazaki.wordpress.com/2011/02/18/contepencil-figure-study
Recent conte and 4b pencil rendering. I also used small specks of white charcoal pencil to accent the highlights. I really like working with conte right now. The results are fast and its not as messy as compressed charcoal. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. some sketches… | shingoyamazaki
https://shingoyamazaki.wordpress.com/2010/11/10/some-sketches
A few recent sketches. I actually finished a sketchbook a few days ago. This is a very rare occasion because I usually move on to another sketchbook before I even finish half of it. Hopefully I’ll stick to the one I’m using right now without abandoning it. 3 thoughts on “ some sketches…. November 10, 2010 at 10:09 pm. I’ve had about 8 sketchbooks on hold for a hot minute. Gotta learn to stick with that shit! November 12, 2010 at 8:19 pm. November 20, 2010 at 6:39 am. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

This is a sketch that I procrastinated for over a year to complete. Used .5 and .3 mechanical pencils. One thought on “ angry robot. November 10, 2010 at 4:02 am. Damn, long time in the making but it came out good! I actually remember the night you started drawing this at Garden Cafe, hahaha. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Self Portrait #2 | shingoyamazaki
https://shingoyamazaki.wordpress.com/2012/02/18/self-portrai-2
Another try at the self portrait oil painting. This is what I wear to work hustling handbags and shoes. Here is the painting in progress… I used a green under painting to darken the entire theme and worked on top of it letting some of the green seep through the skin tone.
