A nebudeš se tam nudit? Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Leželi jsme v celkem poklidné části, když se dost těsně k nám přitulila klasická americká rodinka se dvěma vyčouhlými syny. Zapíchli každý svou plážovou židličku, zaparkovali ledničku a rozbalili chipsy. Postupně se pak střídali v pinkání na pláži, přičemž sedící povzbuzovali. A nebudeš se tam nudit? Thursday, October 27, 2005. V přístavu v San Diegu jsme navštívili USS Midway muzeum, které je zřízené na zakotvené vyřazené několikrát přestavěné letadlové lodi. Před dvouhodinnovou prohlídkou jsme se nejdříve posilnili studeným obědem v restauraci na lodi společně s dalšími účastníky setkání Fulbrightů. Před rozchodem po lodi jsme každý dostal sluchátka s výkladem. Většina návštěvníků pak měla trošku nepřítomný výraz. Adélka by jim to tam hned všechno ráda sama seštelovala.

A nebudeš se tam nudit? Friday, December 30, 2005. Cesta na Key West byla dlouhá a převážnou část vedla po dvouproudovce přes mořské mosty a hráze mezi mnoha ostrůvkami. Laguny mezi nimi byly karibsky modrozelené - úplný ráj. Známky hurikánů zde byly také dost patrné (písmenka asi někde létají). Ostrůvky široké pouze několik set metrů, pár centimetrů nad mořskou hladinou prakticky nic nechrání. Měla bych tam asi pocit, že se v noci probudím uprostřed oceánu. No není to kouzelné? Miami Beach a Atlantik.

A nebudeš se tam nudit? Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Studentské stávky v LA. Už od soboty probíhají na středních školách stávky proti novému imigračnímu zákonu. Studenti se shlukují a protestují, dokonce šli i po dálnici, takže ten omezený provoz si ani neumím představit. Navíc, když dneska ještě k tomu pršelo. A v tom se nejezdí vůbec dobře.
