What’s in a name? A helluva lot of negotiation! | Socktopus Unplugged
https://socktopusunplugged.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/whats-in-a-name-a-helluva-lot-of-negotiation
Get me outta here! What’s in a name? A helluva lot of negotiation! Well, we finally settled on a name, but wanted to test it for a week before making it official, just in case we changed our minds. Test period is up, so let me introduce you to our daughter Amandine Isobelle Cotton-Yu. Amandine is pronounced long a as in ahhh, mun, long e as in deen, with the accent on the deen. Sometimes nothing beats a nice hot shower. 27 thoughts on “ What’s in a name? A helluva lot of negotiation! Well done you guys!

I like making stuff. Monday, 09 November 2009. Yesterday I arranged for Emmms. To come over for the afternoon - or so I thought. Turns out that they had been plotting a surprise shower for me for the last two months! When I opened the front door, it wasnt just Emma and Sharon standing there but Mel. They brought the most gorgeous blanket and pillow ever:. Thank you to all the knitters on Ravelry that helped put these together. Ross and I are touched by your generosity! Mel made a snuggly hooded cardigan:.

Stitch a day keeps the rage away. A knitter who blogs – the novelty! Archive for November, 2008. Round round, baby, round round…. November 24, 2008. YOCD - Yarn Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I’m totally hooked on spinning. So much so that I hardly did any knitting this weekend. So much so that I hardly did any packing as well, and considering we’re moving on Saturday, it’s not that good! I think I said before, I got a spindle and some fiber from Socktopus. The fiber I got is Spindlefrog. Sunday was spen...

Stitch a day keeps the rage away. A knitter who blogs – the novelty! Archive for October, 2008. Here she goes again. October 24, 2008. YOCD - Yarn Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I showed a friend of mine one of my future projects, Francis Revisited. And fearless newbie as she is, she wants us to look at yarn when we finish work to make her own. Until there it’s all good, huh? I keep looking at the last blog post. Back and forth. On other news, last night I got to meet Sarah (Yoshimi). I finished my first...
