そろそろ紅葉が始まる中、今日は真夏の暑さ。これを残暑って言うんですよね。お友達のYさんと地元のファイヤーウィードマーケットに行ってきました。毎週木曜、午後３時から８時までです。今年は昨年と比べると充実している印象を受けました。今日購入してきたのは、私の近所のバーバラさんが販売するトマト。１パウンド＄５で２バウンド購入。早速丸かじりしたらとても甘くて、スーパーではこんな味のするトマトは買えないですね。そして、バードハウスのパン。以前はレストランを経営していた姉妹が、現在はマーケットでパンや菓子パンの販売。ここでは列ができていました。ここで購入したのは、リコタチーズフレンチブレッドとシナモンロール。小麦粉の入っていないパンもあり、やはり彼女達の得意とする、健康に気を使った物が並んでいました。 1962年生。福井県出身。日本の銀行で５年間勤めた後、.
