Everything has tasted awful for the last few months. Pretty much all foods, all liquids, even my own saliva. Juice (as I had run out) and found that it was palatable. A breast cancer diagnosis and a mastectomy. Round 6 – the end …. Musings of the Can(tan)cerous Kind … (sic). Does what it says on the tin. Hair moulting and skin sloughing continues. That said, everything else is gone. I feel that this will be a repeat of the prior round. With a week of no side effects followed by two weeks of random days feeling crappy. Mild wind has returned but I hope this doesn’t result in a repeat of the constipation/diarrhoea duo. Hair is barely there – full shave this weekend.

This was the aspect I was most worried about when I was told that I would have to have chemotherapy and, to be honest, the immediate image in my head when told ‘it is cancer’ was the media issued one of the cadaverous patient with an IV pole. Fatigue and disrupted sleep so will be taking the sleeping pills. Having spoken to the doctor about constipation, I have a liquid stool softener and am having no issues at all! Fatigue is making my eyes twitchy again. Fizzy fingers and feet continue on and off. Otherwise I am feeling okay. Otherwise, still fizzy, still flickering, still fatigued.
