Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Wine Country with Casey. Casey came in town for a quick girls weekend in Napa and I was able to drive up and see her. It was great because we got to catch up, she got a fun girls weekend out of the trip, and wine country is much closer than Houston! We hit up Domain Chandon. Wineries. Both had great wine and great environments, wine country never gets old. We also had an amazing brunch at Auberge. Not your run of the mill pancakes by any means. Posted by Ashley Stern. We al...

Stern Francisco: Lake Sonoma
http://www.sternfrancisco.com/2015/07/lake-sonoma.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. The 4th was pretty quiet. Aaron went to High Sierra Festival, which he may write about.and I hung around the city. Saturday I went up to Lake Sonoma with Lauren and some friends, which was amazing because it was so cold and foggy. In the city, per usual in the summer. Although not nearly as pretty as Tahoe, it was a LOT closer and a LOT less crowded. It was hot, sunny and the water was cold, so it got the job done! Can you tell we are in a drought? It is a little pathetic.

http://www.sternfrancisco.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. We haven't been to Tahoe all season, mostly because I don't even pretend to ski anymore but also there has been zero snow. So, we found another excuse to venture up for the Winter WonderGrass. Festival in Squaw Valley. It was super fun, ALL my favorite bluegrass type bands were playing and we met up with a bunch of friends! The weather was pretty good until late on Sunday when it started hailing/raining. We weren't very well prepared (since when does it rain? We ate at some amazi...

Monday, January 26, 2015. After a wonderful Christmas, we headed out in the Jucy to explore the rest of the South Island. The first few days were spent on the west coast, including Greymouth for a brewery stop and Hokitika for fudge. I'm not sure I would have even said I liked Jazz music prior to this, but I guess I do now? Regardless it was a good time and I'm going to tell you about it. Two weekends ago we went to Stern Grove,. Yepwe have a Grove named after us. Then, this past weekend was Fillmore JazzFest. Which is the biggest Jazz festival on the West Coast and happened to be literally 1 block away from our apartment.

Stern Francisco: August 2014

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. That time we missed the earthquake. Yes, we missed it! We were outside of Seattle last weekend visiting Aaron's parents when we started getting texts from all over the country about the earthquake. Our apartment was perfectly fine and our friends were mixed reviews on if they even woke up for it or not. I'm sure there was a lot of spilled wine up in Napa, which is a shame. Posted by Ashley Stern. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. This might have been my favorite. Posted by Ashley Stern.
