2010 | little apple
https://alittleapple.wordpress.com/2010
The adventures of a small fruit in a big world. Archive for 2010 Yearly archive page. On September 1, 2010. Photo by Anne Jansen. I’ve been wanting to visit Portland for several years now, and I finally got the chance when we went out to Manzanita for my cousin-in-law’s wedding. The city has so much to offer, and in the short time we were there, we just didn’t have the time to see it all. I mean, how can you see it all in a city with so many nicknames? Photo by Anne Jansen. Seaside Escape: Manzanita, OR | little apple

The adventures of a small fruit in a big world. Seaside Escape: Manzanita, OR. On August 24, 2010. Photo by Anne Jansen. This little seaside town was adorable! Aside from the fact that it had two amazing independently owned bookstores (the Cloud and Leaf Bookstore. Pictured below, and Ekahni Books. 8212; really wonderful little shops — Manzanita had some great restaurants, a good yarn shop. A jam-packed general store. Several art galleries, and a beautiful picture-perfect beach. That beach…wow!

The adventures of a small fruit in a big world. Aside from this travel blog, I also keep a food blog. And a personal blog. Travel seems to go hand-in-hand with eating, reading, and inner reflection…so it only makes sense that I should end up with so many of these things (at least, that’s what I tell myself). I also keep a personal website. That is updated far less frequently, but pertains much more to my life and the people in it. Enjoy! 9654; No Responses. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A Little Anguish
This is a blog about our struggle with infertility, with moving where my husband finally found a job, and about life in general, all from a Christian standpoint. Wednesday, August 28, 2013. I turned 31 around 3:25 this afternoon. I woke up in a terrible funk over it. I don't know why 31 sounded so much worse than 30 did. Although I should probably go back and see how horrible I thought 30 was going to be. And it wasn't all horrible. Sunday, August 18, 2013. He is in charge of everything and I can't even ...

A Little Art | ramblings and dablings
April 23, 2015. Comments No Comments on Ol’ Man Fly. Ol’ Man Fly. The task for my photography course this week was a studio-style portrait of a fly. So, substituting a piece of paper and the patio table for an actual studio, here’s my version of “a fly with character”. Technical details f8, 1/250 sec, ISO 150, focal length 105mm (157.5mm in 35mm film terms), with 26mm of extension tubes. April 1, 2015. A little art from my hands
A little art from my hands. Wednesday, 4 January 2017. Surviving an environment disaster. Thursday, 22 December 2016. Sketching a laughing pose of Albert with a small cup of tea. Wednesday, 21 December 2016. I love doing quick sketches from characters. I built it up like a sculpture, first the silhouette /the mass and after the smaller details, eyes sockets, ears, nose. Tuesday, 13 December 2016. Gaia, the little savior :D. Friday, 9 December 2016. Chic&Choc wish you Happy Christmas!
A Little Art History
A Little Art History. This is my commonplace "book" for my AHR 102 and 103 class, on 12th-21th Century Art. It should contain homework assignments and such, hopefully a little more. I think the summary of Fredric Jameson’s Postmodernism, or, the Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism by Dino Felluga is not only interesting, but I can see what is being said as very possibly true. Harold Rosenberg, ”. The American Action Painters. When learning about "action” art in class, I really disliked the sound of i...
